RE: Martin C. Benson's wife Nancy Jane Williams
Hi Tina,

It's been a while since I've looked at this side of the family. Most of my info comes from a cousin (John Frederick Marshall) who did a lot of research some time ago concerning the Parker/Benson families. If I recall correctly there were other relatives living in the home before and perhaps during the time that Tallula "Lula" Benson inherited the old home after her father's death around 1880.
The surnames of Rose and Freeman come into mind.
Sorry I could not help you more but if I do find anything concerning Nancy Jane Williams in the near future I will recontact you.

RE: Elizabeth Jane Dyer Heatherly Cannedy
On August 14, I had a massive heart attack with renal failure and spent August and September in the hospital. I'm sorry I could not respond to your requests but I had no ability to do that in the hospital (wish I had a laptop). I will try to answer your requests, if I can physically do it, but I am still in recovery. Again, I'm sorry I could not respond. I do not know if I will be able to continue my Findagrave activities, I'm still trying to figure that out.

RE: Norman Family
Tina
I don't have Sarah Jane Norman or Pleasant Williams in my line. Below is how my line goes. We are probably from different Normans.

My Great grandmother was Nancy Caroline Norman b:1857 Mo.
Her father was William F. Norman B:1823 Ill.
His father was Levi L Norman B:1793 Tn.
His father was James Norman B 1763 N.C.

Thanks, Doyle

You might try contacting Jean Linhart flowermaze46@yahoo.com

She has worked on the Cannedy line over the years.

Off-hand, I don't know anyone related to him, but this lady has done quite a bit of genealogy on the Cannedy family. I would contact her and see what she knows.

she put flowers on Elizabeth's grave so you can just click that link to find her.

I am not blood related to the Cannedy family.

Hi Tina,

Here is the site I found the info for on Drucilla:

Page 4 Smith Mills Cemetery.

It is likely if you have different info yours is correct, whoever did the headstone reading could have easily mistaken an 8 for a 0, especially given the age of the inscription.

I can transfer her memorial to you if you want.
