Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a natural extension of my interest in genealogy, I believe that we deserve to be remembered in one way or the other. Whether the world is better or worst off because we were here, all of us will have an impact on what the world is and will become to a greater or less degree.

As a young man I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, AZ and rented a place at the "Luck Cuss Cottages" in Tombstone, AZ for my wife and me. Our cottage was directly across the gully from "Boot Hill" that we visited on various occasions. One memorial has stuck in my mind over all these years and may be partially to blame with my desire to remember those who have gone before us. It reads, "IN MEMORY OF FRANK BOWLES BORN AUG. 5, 1828; DIED AUG. 26, 1880; AS YOU PASS BY REMEMBER AS YOU ARE SO ONCE WAS I AND AS I AM YOU SOON WILL BE REMEMBER ME"

So I hope in some small measure I am helping to remember those people that are now becoming faded or forgotten memories. My efforts may be flawed or incomplete, so I welcome any assistance you can render.

RE: John H. Aumen
If he is a relative of yours use the edit tab on his memorial page to request a transfer. I merely transcribed his and other obituaries on a page that contained the obituary of one of my relatives.

PFC Calvin Cannon
Hi Willson,
Glad you found the listing for Calvin! That day I was photographing all the graves in the WWII plot at Mt. Olivet, and Calvin is in that plot. I'm guessing since he died on June 6, 1944 that he died in the invasion of Normandy? I have photographed the graves of many who died in WWII but he is the only one who died on that day.
I know Cannon is not an uncommon name around Frederick, seems strange I haven't added more in my travels! I'm heading back to my northern home in just about 2 1/2 weeks, so it seems unlikely I'll run into anymore (but you never know!) but should you find any one else amongst my listings who are relations of yours, please let me know. I'm always glad to add bio info or even do a transfer!
