Bio and Links
Bio Photo Christian husband and father of three, US Army Veteran, Certified IT Professional, and Musician. I currently attend Columbia College as a History major.

I am the Founder/President of the Kansas Civil War Society, former President and founder of the South-Central Missouri Civil War Round Table, former Graves Registration Officer of Old Abe Camp #16 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and a member of the Cold War Veterans Association

I began my interest in genealogy while searching for my ancestors who may or may not have served in the Civil War. My paternal line resided in Southeast Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin and has been traced back to the mid 1600's. My maternal line mainly resided in Illinois and came from Germany/Poland shortly before WWII.

I am originally from the St Louis area, Collinsville IL. to be exact, spent 10 years in the south-central portion of Missouri in Pulaski County and currently reside in Topeka, KS.

My current project is categorizing all the Civil War soldiers in Shawnee County and their final resting places. I am also completing a list of Civil War soldiers at Rochester Cemetery in North Topeka.

Rochester Cemetery,Topeka, Kansas county section
Those persons that are confirmed to be buried in "county section" and have a legible marker have all been photographed and posted to the respective Find A Grave Memorial pages. Hiram McCraken is one of the confirmed with no marker. I am sorry for not getting the "Hiram McCraken" "County" informaion posted before your claim.

There is a website www.sos.mo.gov, I think, that lets you get copies of death certificate and other genealogical items.

I found Sarah Elizabeth Shirrell, wife of George W. Shirrell and daughter of Frederick Boldrey and Mary E Swick. This is you GGMother, yes?
Death Certificate #28454, File 14.

I am a GGson of Hiram Andrew(Andy) Shirrell, the 2nd son of William Henry (Henry) and Jane Honeycutt Shirrell. Would you like to exchange addresses for genealogy assistance? I am on Ancestry.com and Archives.com. Do you have any documentation on George's middle name. His military draft paperwork had Washington.

RE: Carrie Brown Burchett
Do you have any info on Hannah Reynolds Brown after George died? How about Carrie's brothers Harvey and George? Please email me at graberschr@aol.com. I am a descendant of George's brother, Daniel.
