My objective in creating (and/or managing) a memorial is simple – it is to honor the person's life, no matter how short or long a period of time that individual lived. If working with genealogy has taught me nothing else, it has taught me that life is a precious gift, not to be wasted. |
If I have a memorial for someone who has recently died, and you are a family member who objects to it, let me know & I will delete the memorial.
Please send requests for additions, corrections, linking, and transfers through the system FAG provides using the "Edit" tab in the upper right-hand corner of the memorial.
**When you submit an addition or correction, please include the SOURCE (preferably a link), so that it can be confirmed. The source information will be posted to the memorial.**
I am happy to post information from an obituary that will enhance the memorial in the BIO section of a memorial.
F.A.G. transfer policy: Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. State your exact relationship, please. I don't transfer memorials that are in my family tree. If you are seeking transfers to "have all my family together", use the virtual cemetery option.
I'm sorry, but I don't link to unknown burials.
Please do NOT leave biographical information and obituaries in a virtual flower. That is what the "edit" tab is for. This is against findagrave.com policy, and the flower will be reported as "abused".
****Please do not post a death certificate, obituary, or anything else in the "photo section" except for person photos or photos of the gravestone.****
FOR GRAVESTONE PHOTOS THAT I HAVE TAKEN, PLEASE BE SURE TO CLICK ON THE PHOTO & THEN CLICK A SECOND TIME. THE PHOTO WILL ENLARGE & PROVIDE A CLOSE-UP.

The close-up I took today turned out well. I also did a rubbing of the age at death and photographed. I will post at a later time. You can see though, a distinct difference in the #2 in the YOD and the #7 in the age of death. I feel rather confident about this. I never say 100%, but this is very close! I have been told I have a good eye for deciphering such things. You tell me what you think when you see the pictures.

You're welcome. Glad I could help in a small way, however you're the one who did most of the work in figuring all this out!

You are most welcome! Isaac Newton Skelton is part of my current 'hobby' to identify burials of men who served during the Civil War in the 38th Ohio.

Thank you for letting me know about the spelling of Sara. Her son's obit also has this spelling. I guess I was half asleep :) Also, thank you very much for posting her the headstone photo!! May I please have your permission to post it on my family tree? Of course giving you credit for it :) Thank you!!!

Thanks for the timely updates and edits to the memorials you created and I have photographed. It is very refreshing as so often this is not the case.
