I am an avid genealogist. I have done a lot research and know how helpful cemetery information can be. If anyone would like a photo of a gravesite in south-eastern ND or nearby in MN. Please let me know. I will happily go locate gravesites in my area. Since joining this site I have found that I really enjoy spending time in cemeteries and learning about the people there.
I was born in 1973 in Fargo, ND. Have lived here most of my life. I love the Renaissance Era and attend festivals every year.
If I am related to a person I will list what my relationship is in a flower posting. If anyone would like a memorial transfered to them please send me a message thru suggestions. I will happily transfer memorials to any family member. In your message to me just tell me what your relationship is to the person you are requesting the transfer for. I feel that any family member who is actively doing genealogy research has a better chance of being able to update a memorial than myself. I do a lot of genealogy research, nearly daily. But as with most researchers I focus on my family connections.
Any photo I post may be used for personal use by anyone who feels they have a need unless I have, for some unforseen reason, stated otherwise in the photo description. I do keep the larger file sizes of most of my photos. So if you would like me to email one to you please contact me with your email address, cemetery name, and person's name.

I live in Canada and can't get there very easily in person. I'd sure appreciate your help!!! I am trying to find any record or headstone photo (if there is a stone) for Jonas Jacobson, born 17 June 1850 in Sogandall, Norway, and died in 1895 in Harwood, North Dakota. He was married to Johanna Berthena (Jacobson) Jacobson, also born in Sogandall, Norway. She eventually re-married, first to Allan Emery Lauck (don't know if they divorced or he died) and later to William Raymond (Ray) Phelps, and they ended up in Canada. I know the particulars at that stage. Just can't find anything on Jonas, his parents or anything. I know that he and his wife immigrated to the U.S. in 1893, and that he and his brother worked on a threshing crew at Harwood, where he contracted Typhoid Fever, from having to use the bush for a bathroom. Maybe he is buried where they lived. Any history or photos that you might be able to locate would be very, very appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Kathy (Britton) Cox

Please change Karen Cordes to Karen Baldwin I was a Baldwin at the time of my dads death and I have proof my husband died in 2003 and I was a Baldwin. Than and always will be it is so unfair that you have not granted me the rights to my familybut at leastmake it right my husband is and will be my soul mate. If you are so good at genealogy make it right. Oh genealogy is your passion you sure have made a mess of our family Thank you Karen Baldwin not Cordes.

Hi, Thanks for the great obituary. I am a grand nephew to Oline V. (Olson) Olson Peterson, She was married to John M. Olson one of the founders of Litchville, North Dakota. He owned the Olson and Co. Store. My grandfather was Lauritz (Louis, Lewis) Olson.
Unfortunately the memorial #76054810 George Stockeland and his wife Isabelle #76055055 are duplicates of earlier ones. Thought to let you know so you can post the wonderful pics on the correct memorial. I will be deleting my entry soon. thanks Alexis

I started working on Sola Cemetery this week and have added about 900 additional names. I estimate that I've photographed about 3/4 of the cemetery and have about another 400 stones left to enter from the 1300 I took this week. I'm off tomorrow to Romania for two weeks, but will be entering the remaining pictures I have. I'll get back over there when I'm back from Romania and finish photographing the rest of the cemetery.
I haven't come across the names you asked about in what I've posted. I started with the older stones first and am working my way out to the new ones.

Thank you so much for adding a memorial for Robert Lietz and also accepting the edits for his parents. So glad there is a picture too. I was at the cemetery a few months ago, but couldn't find him.
Thanks again for all the work you do for Find a Grave!! Much appreciated!

I am slowly working my way through the cemeteries in and around Stavanger. So far I have documented 100% of six cemeteries and am currently working on the two big ones in Stavanger proper--I can walk to them when I have a couple of hours to kill.
Sola requires a drive and I stop by there as time allows when I have business in the area. I will eventually get all of Sola photographed and posted. I actually plan to be out there tomorrow and it if isn't raining will spend a couple of hours there taking pictures. I won't commit to looking for your people as it is a good size cemetery, but will focus on the older sections first and hopefully your folks will be in those sections. After I get the pictures posted, I'll look for the names you've provided and let you know if I have any success. If I don't get them on this trip, there will be more pictures coming in the near future.
