Dear Mr. Ray L Williams
I am very shocked that a good Christian and a mature experienced educator like you would be so rude and insulting to an unknown person who was trying to be helpful. I sent you a professional and kind note about a possible correction for Mr. Funk. Instead of sending me back a nice note letting me know that you are related to the grave and knew more correct info... you put a nasty note on the grave and insult me for no reason at all. I could have thanked you for correcting my info and I could have corrected the person who gave the info to me. He is a young great grandchild of Mr. Funk and he wrote this info in his HS Genealogy competition speech for our local society!!! He won an award with it just last year!!! He is YOUR relation!!! He is a youngster!!! We are working on new Heritage books for our counties and always want to have correct info. We are entering Veteran info on the graves now. We all appreciate corrections. Everyone makes a mistake once in awhile. I am sure you have made mistakes and I am sure you would want the benefit of the doubt. It is NOT a sin nor murder to make a mistake. I am sure you appreciate people being polite and kind to you. Please do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Please behave civilly on Find A Grave and act mature and polite at all times. Please treat people as you would your own family. Thank you for your correction. Please remove the unnecessary, unrelated, unchristian, nasty and inappropriate note to me on Mr. Funk's (who is my cousin by the way) grave. You have convinced me to not share any further family info with you. I accept your apology. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. Carole Conrad

Funk & Patton Families
Hello Ray, I was just wondering about your wife's family. How is she related to the Funk & Patton families? My great Aunt Bell Hill married William Edd Funk and my great aunt Martha Emaline Bartlett married James Kenny Patton. Just wondering if we might be kin?

RE: Georgia Ann Underwood
Hello Ray,

I posted Georgia's memorial last year after coming across her obit in the Roanoke Times. Shortly after that, you contacted me with her birth date and additional info to put in the Biography.

This particular Underwood family, does not seem to be closely related to my daughter-in-law. Her maiden last name is Underwood. I keep an eye out for all Underwood's while I am doing research for her.

I can transfer the memorial to your family or Georgia's daughter at any time for you to maintain.

The birthdates as I mentioned was in the information you emailed to me and might have been meant as research info in case I found that my daughter-in-law was related somehow. If I found the connection, you offered to assist me in additional info but from my research, I wasn't able to connect your Underwood's to my daughter-in-law's Underwoods.

Hope that made more sense.

Please contact me about who to transfer the memorial to for maintenance and that way, any additional information can be added by your family.

Connie East

RE: Georgia Ann Underwood
Hello Ray,

The original message you sent me with all of the information concerning Georgia included the survivors. You provided their birthdates (those of the living relatives). In the biography on Georgia's memorial, I added the survivors names but preferred not to put their birthdates for public viewing.

Hope that explains the message a little more.

Best wishes,
