My name is Linda I have worked on my family genealogy for 34 years I have enjoyed going to cemeteries and finding my family. My health prevents me now. Thank goodness for Find A Grave. I want to thank all the people at findagrave for helping.
Actually I need your help. I live in Howard Ks and I am tracing my wife’s family back to a Joel C. Gray, born in about 1862 in Indiana. He shows up on the 1910 census in Elk county Kansas and has a son Clarence Gray. Clarence is my wife’s grandfather. Clarence is also the Father of Ross gray whom you set up in findagrave. The problem is we have Joel’s middle name being Cephas or Ciefas, not Collins? We also expected him to be buried around Cowley or Butler county Kansas. Not Indiana. I do not find him in findagrave, but not all the cemeteries around Rock Kansas are online yet. I have our Joel being married to Sarah Jane “jennie” Gray.
Adeline Madison I found a stone with Ataway Madison same dates and in space where Adeline is supposed to be. Is that same?person Dates are same Do you want this picture. I had to highlight to read stone because it is so warn and made of concrete material
William T. "Bill" Fuqua Linda: William is actually buried in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Stafford County, Kansas. I have placed a photo of his memorial on his site; with this information in case you are not able to update. I'm not a relative; simply, a person trying to get photos on as many Stafford Country gravesites as possible. Thank you for your previous work with Find A Grave. Ray Davidson
Health Linda, I'm so sorry to hear that your health is limiting your graving activities. I understand. I used to volunteer to photograph graves, but I'm now unable to do the amount of walking that it requires. "The Spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Right? God bless you, and please let me know if I can help. Mary
James "Jimmy" Fields I drove to the Curtis Cemetery yesterday but was unsuccessful in locating Jimmy's grave. There appears to be two 'somewhat' recent burials without headstones. One of them may be Jimmy's. I ran out of daylight before I could walk the cemetery again, but will try another day soon.
Photo Request Joel Gray Fairview Cemetery There are a lot of unmarked graves in Fairview Cemetery. As far as your request for Joel C. Gray the best that I can tell you is if you look at a picture of the cemetery if you look at bottom right hand corner directly behind the fence you can see two small stones directly to the right of a larger one. Those are Grays stones. There are many unmarked graves around these stones. This is proably were Joel is buried.
