I live in Las Vegas NV. I have been doing Genealogy for many years.I was so delighted to have found this site " Find a Grave" because of a recomendation from my Aunt Shirley who also is a member. I love doing genealogy work for my family. This site is wonderful it is great for genealogy. I try to put inportant info in for just that reason, in case someone is looking for their relative and need a little more info.|

Melinda, Do you have the article about Moses found in the book Portrait and Biographical record of Iroquois County, Illinois? I've tried get findagrave to add the article or transfer his memorial to me, but they are not responding. If you would like it... let me know and I'll scan the pages and send to you.

The death record came from Ancestry.com showing the date as the 23rd not the 27th.

Thanks for the photo of Cheryl and her dad. I was an old boyfriend of hers in the 9th grade and wondered about her of late. So sorry to hear she has gone.

Thanks Melinda! I have communicated by email and Facebook with Shirley. I have setup a family history page on My Family. If you would like to look at it, I can direct you to the page. Do you have any pictures of the Taylors beside Mary Jane...I have a few of her half brother Jesse but no others.
|John Robinson||J. D. Taylor|
Melinda, we are distantly related as John D. Taylor is my G G G Grandfather. I would like to include what you have written about him and the family in my family history, with your permission. I have been to the Myrtle Cemetery several times and never have found his grave. Can you tell me where it is located? I am familiar with the Robinson graves there and the graves of Jesse and his wife Taylor.
Thanks for an interesting read.

My Cote line runs through French Canada. The picture I have up is, My little sister, me, and my Grand father Charles Dull. My Grandmother's name was Mary Lucinda Cota Dull. I think we will find a link. There must be at least three generations with each generation having a bunch of kids in Quebec, Canada on my tree.
I think the chances are very high that your hubby and I are Cousins X ???.

My Great Great Grand Father is Napoleon Cota(65792093). His father was Nelson Cota (63956563) and his father was Lucian Cote (1803 to 1835) (66140789). We have the line set up all the way to France to 1500. Take a look and see if you might be part of it.
|John Robinson||Civil War|
Melinda, my name is John Robinson and I am the great great grandson of G.W. Robinson. The bio that you have on the site, I wrote and am continuing to research his Civil War service. I recently found the skirmish that caused his capture. It has been a long journey, but now with documented evidence I can prove when he was captured and where. When I finish the article I am writing, I will send you a copy. My wife, a former English teacher is my editor. The family lore which started this research came from an interview done with June England who was a granddaughter of Mary Jane Taylor Robinson. She had listened to Little Grandma tell the stories of the Civil War when she was a little girl. We have to thank Carmen Howell and Cherry Robinson Byfield for conducting the interview. Without their curiosity, we would still be in the dark about our family in the Civil War.

I bet if you "contact the seller" and send a note to her ebay messages that she would send you the names written in the diagram to the right of the binding on that 10th picture she posted. I was SO much hoping it would be a match and was so excited for you ... that would have been so cool for you to have found your family's "long lost Bible" :D
I really wish I knew how to find the correct family because that would be an awesome thing for them to have, but I know God will make sure the person He specifically wants to have it will end up up with it when the time right.
I hope if you ever find who it belongs to, I hope you will let me know.
Thank you for getting back to me the past couple of days and not leaving me wondering.
