I grew up attending Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church and White Bluff Baptist Church. Both are in Lancaster County. I have many relatives buried in those cemeteries. I now attend Timrod Baptist Church, so I wanted to make sure that everyone in that cemetary was listed. After retirement, I have become very interested in genealogy. My husband and I along with my brother and his wife have visited many, many grave sites and have found much information about our relatives. There are still many unanswered questions. We are continually looking for persons who may have answers to our questions.

RE: Knights
Hi Verna! My lineage on the Knight side is:

Richard Knight b. 1774 in SC m. 1796 Cynthia Parsons b 1773 in SC. Their son John Knight b. 1805 in SC m. abt 1829 to Mary Worley b. 1811 in NC. Their son John F Knight b. 1849 in SC m. 1875 Susan A Olinger b. 1849 in MS. Their son Joel D Knight b. 1875 in Calhoun Co. MS m. 1910 Susie T Gilliam b. 1886 in TN. Their daughter Eva Ann Knight was my grandmother b. 1912 in MS.

Obviously there are lots of siblings in there I omitted but... is this your line??? John Knight had a brother Aaron Weaver Knight who married Winifred Horton and that clan were all in Chesterfield SC area. Would love to hear if any of these folks belong to you too.

RE: William Daniel Neil McNaughton
Verna, thank you so much. You have been a big help. We are so far from S.C. - it is hard not being able to see it for ourselves, so having someone there is so great. I appreciate all you have done. Elaine
