I have been actively pursuing my passion for genealogy since 1997. As I child my parents would diligently pour over records in libraries and courthouses during family vacations to Florida (so boring as a child). Thankfully I've come to respect their interest and value their findings. |
Maternal side: (Iowa and midwest to New England) Hetherington, Scott, Joy, Edwards, Scohy, Hendrix, Jackson, Barrett, Nelson, Clark, Dickinson, Fish, Townsend and so so many more way beyond colonial times and Europe.
Paternal side: (Georgia and southern states) Pearson, Guthrie, Register, Breeden, Head, Catchings, Roby, Register, Dees, Sirmans, Newbern, Rainey, Hill and so so many more.
Found a pirate, some "witches", hard working land owners, royalty, and miners. Oh what stories our ancestors could tell us... When we die we become "stories" in the minds of other people. I believe it's our responsibility to document our heritage because once it's forgotten it's gone.

Thank you for editing Kim's name to include her maiden name. Kim and I grew up together until the seventh grade when she moved away. It took me a long time to find her grave, so I wanted to make it easier for others to find it.
Thanks for the transfers

Oh, no! you are not bothering me. I love this. Thanks for your help. This is so rewarding. I never thought of it as an "Addiction", but it's a great "addiction." I am not going to worry about the age, I have ran into many with the ages written down wrong. Now it's my time to bother you again, may I please get Amelia's husband Nathaniel Spencer Adkins, and her son Woodrow Adkins transferred to me.
In 1900 or 1910 Amelia (Melia) at the time was living with her uncle (Reuben Wright).
Again, thank you so much for all your help. My family tree just got fuller.
You have indeed made my Sunday great. Please have a great and bless Sunday. Thank you

I don't know if it's wrong, but on the 1900 she was 11years old. I am so happy to find her that I don't know what to do. On the Census it state date of birth Dec. 1888. I was trying to find her death certificate so I can save it with the rest of the family, but I didn't get it. What would you do? Leave it or change it!
I am just happy to have found her and the rest of the family. Thank you so much

Hello, I thank you for the memorial page, but when I was looking over my notes, I found that Amelia (Melia) King was born December 1888. This is what it has on the 1900 census. She was 11 years old on the census. I would like to know so I can change my date on my family tree.

Thank you so much for this memorial page on my first cousin. I have been searching for this family for so long. Her mother was my great grand aunt. Juanita (Nita)

Hi Hether, Mr. Neely was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Mo. not the one near Kansas City. Thank you in advance for making this correction.
Thank you for your contributions to find a grave!
I am asking for transfer of my Grandparents

Thank you for accepting the edit for Kim Kirkland Roles. I have known for years that she had passed away, but since I did not know her married name until recently, she was impossible to find.
And also I do appreciate you for submitting Kim's headstone to Find a Grave.
