Thank you so much for this photo. "Uncle Jack" was a family favorite, a talented musician who learned to play the right-hand violin left handed, because it was his mother's fiddle and she wouldn't let him restring it. (She still played it too.)
His name was originally George Washington Anderson - during the War Between the States he added "Stonewall Jackson" himself (not knowing the general had a real first name) and was always called "Jack" by his siblings after that.
I am his great grand niece by way of his older sister Marilla.

Thanks for the photo. This is the last photo needed for this family and I really appreciate it.
David, thanks for the photo. I think I may have to have a marker installed.
|Jodine Bergen||Briscoe Photo Requests|
Thank you for claiming the photo requests for my great great grandparents, William and Mary Louisa Briscoe. William's death certificate states that he is buried in Tillamook. I assumed Mary might be buried with him but could not find any record of her death until now: I just found a WA death certificate listing her death in Dayton, WA. I then found a memorial on findagrave for Louise Briscoe at Dayton City Cemetery (very likely her).
And so, I would still love the photo of William's grave site, but you'll not likely find wife Mary beside him. Didn't want you to spend extra time searching for her. Thanks again.

I "finally" posted your finding on Emily's memorial and the home page of this burial. Thanks again, for your help. It is VERY MUCH appreciated.
Did you read her biography by chance?
