I've been researching my family roots off and on for 20 years. At what point they became more of a person than a name on paper, I'm not sure but it happened and I'm glad. A hundred years from now, hopefully someone will feel that I'm more than just a name written on a death certificate and a tombstone in a cemetery. [Edit] | |

Hi Jeanie. Yes, according to Ancestry, he is my 1st cousin 3x removed. In other words. Thomas' father was Thomas Daniel, (married to Eliza Stephenson). One of his siblings was William who is my great great grandfather. He married Mary Jane Coffin and moved to Coatbridge, Scotland. Where he died. The name in England is Jenkin. I don't know why they all changed their names but William did too. Pearl (Myrtle) was the informant on Thomas' death certificate so she didn't know I guess but he was actually born in Cornwall, England.

Hello. I have a question for you. On Find A Grave you have Samuel Jenkins as the the son of Thomas & Myrtle. Yet on Thomas' page it is listed that he was the husband of Pearl. Could you explain this for me?

I may have written to you about this before, but am visiting the situation again now and I want to let you know that from the documentation I am finding for the wife of Huey G McCormick, this information says that she is Eliza Elmira Garner, daughter of William Henry Garner and Martha Ann Riddle. The documentation I have is the marriage license for Huey and Eliza, which is signed by the underage daughter, Eliza, of Wm H Garner and Martha A Riddle Garner.
Brent Gillespie has transferred the memorial for Eliza to me and I plan to make changes to her memorial to reflect that information but wanted to get your feedback before I do make those changes. Please write to me at ruthdowdymcarthur@frontier.com.

Stoddard County, MO Death Certificate No 24955 for Eliza E McCormick gives the names of her parents as Wm H Garner and Martha A Riddle. Eliza is the younger sister of John Jesse Garner.
I've written to Brent Gillespie and requested that he change the information on her memorial.
