Bio and Links
Bio Photo Ever since trying to 'prove' our family's relationship to Daniel Boone (not proven, my brothers were really ticked) I have been interested in family history. I'm very involved in the Orr Reunion Association -- descendants of Paul Orr and Isabelle Boyd -- which meets the first Sunday of August at a church in rural Mount Vernon, MO. This batch of Orrs came from Aghadowey Parish in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. This is near Coleraine. I'm happy to take photos.

RE: Schlegal family in Union Cemetery
Thank you so much Elaine, you've greatly helped me put together what was, until a few days ago, an unknown part of our family tree! Looking further I did find a few other children of Christian and Elizabeth in different parts of Iowa. According to the church register all of their children, except Mary, were born in France. If you happen to have any Mennonite ancestors who came from the Montbeliard area I can highly recommend this two volume set which was just published in March. Between it and kind people like you, who've taken the time to do research and provide photos, a lot of family mysteries are going to be solved :)
Best Regards,
Tim

RE: J. Joe Houghton
I do not personally know him, but I can tell you that this cemetery is the largest in Jackson county and if he died in Altus it is about 95 per cent sure he was buried here. All my folks are buried here and they all lived in and around Altus all of their life. I wish I could tell you more, but I'm betting that if he died in Altus Oklahoma, then this would be him, especially if the dates are close. Wish I could give you more info, but eventually, something has to turn up.

Sara Hickman
My grandparents, Martha and Allan Hickman
Hello! My name is Sara Hickman. I am the granddaughter of the Hickmans, and noticed you had a nice photo of them in regards to the gravesite/location of my grandma. I wanted to thank you, and also let you know I came to some of the Orr reunions w/my grandfather as a child. Could you remind me how we are connected? Were the Orrs on my grandfather's side of the family?

Hope all is well with you!
Thank you very much,
From a loving granddaughter,
Sara

Thank you for the photo.

Sorry, wished I did know how Bruce and Gladys Crow are related to the Hills/Wilson/Campbell families.

RE: Stemmons Family
I've stumbled upon a bunch of Stemmons and Coffield family photos at a Carthage flea market. I'm hoping to reunite them with their respective families. I've discovered that the families are related, and have even done a few Stemmons and Coffield Find A Grave memorial, after extensive research. Maybe you can help me get these back to where they belong. The photos were purchased at various estate sales in the area. I maybe have 20 or more photos.
