Bio and Links
I have a graduate degree in anthropology that includes training in archaeology, though I have primarily worked in medical research. I have a longstanding interest in history in general, ethnohistory in particular, and in genealogy. Like many others, my geneology research has been related to my own family, but I once had a job doing background genealogy research related to medical research on an inherited disease.

I love tracking down old cemeteries, both for genealogical information they provide and for what they reveal about communities and kin networks.

I work part-time now, but am looking for a full-time position.

Honoring My Ancestors
Woolen request
Hi Pat, I was writing to request linking Rachel Mae Woolen in McGrady Creek Cemetery with her father who is in the same cemetery if you don't mind. Her father is noted as Cleon Logsdon, #105575099. His full obituary is noted in the scanned newspaper of Leitchfield,KY in the 17 January 2013 issue available on the internet. I had the privilege of being one of the nurses who took care of Rachel in her final days prior to her death at Vanderbilt University. It was such a sad event to see a young mother pass away. Thanks so much, Helen

RE: Grave of John W. Quiggins
Hello, Pat Quiggins - Thanks for contacting me with the information you have on a John W. Quiggins and Nancy Jane Eskridge. I need more information from you regarding your John W. Quiggins, the son of Eli Quiggins and Nancy Jane Eskridge. Is he the grandson of Henry Quiggins of Breckinridge County? Sometimes it's difficult to separate those people born about the same time, having the same name and living in the same area. I have Eli Quiggins and Nancy Jane Eskridge as the parents of William D. born 3 Jan 1856; and Mary Jane, born 15 Feb 1858. Could you please tell me more about your John W. Quiggins. --- Thank you, VirJean Bozarth
