Clarence Wilder
Clarence was my great grandfather. Recently went up and photographed the entire Wilder cemetery. There was no tombstone for Clarence or his wife Susan.

RE: Tennessee Roots
Cannis! Thanks for that info! The name was unclear in the newspaper accounts. Our connection with this side was not kept up, so i was unaware i had "cousins" that close by. (I live in Hopedale.) My mother's side is Mennonite, & they are all keen on genealogy, so there are few mysteries left to discover there. My father passed away last year, & we have been trying to piece together his side before all knowledge is lost. His mother was Lillie White Hendricks (Massey), & her parents were Clyde & Laura Seal White. Do you know all of Sarah & Nelson's children's names? Newspaper & internet info is often misleading or just wrong. Thanks again!

RE: Sarah White
You're welcome! Nelson and Sarah were my paternal grandmother's grandparents, but i never met them and there is very little family info, so this has all been very educational. I was pleased to find their gravestone Sunday at Prairie Rest, which is near my home, but we have little info on their ancestry. Thanks for your post!

Tennessee Roots
I am descended from Samuel & Charity Mathis Seal of Hancock Co., TN & would love to learn more about them. I see that my great-grandparents, Sarah & Nelson White, had a daughter, Nancy, who married a Dave Wilder and lived in Pekin, IL.

Does the name Luilla(sp?) Wilder ring a bell? She was married to Richard Glenn.
