 | RE: Alvin Kruger, Fannie Matheson Good morning...I've sent you new un-scaled photos of Alvin & Fannie. I couldn't find the originals so I must have deleted them. I sent them from my Yahoo email so check your spam folder just in case. There are 4 different emails since the files were large. I also have photos of the Green Valley Church and a general view of the cemetery if you want copies of those also. | | | jphil090855
 | RE: Alvin Kruger, Fannie Matheson You are more than welcome to use them...give me a couple of days and let me see if I still have the un-scaled version on one of the discs I have. That would give you much better resolution if I do. I should be able to find it and have it to you by Sunday. If I don't have them I'll be glad to re-take so you'll have more DPI on the photos if you want. I go by the cemetery everyday on the way to work so it won't be any problem. | | | Shelley
 | RE: Jehuda A Hammond Not sure exactly. I have it written into my Sexton record book for the Olathe Cemetery. I am sure it was someone that requested a correction. :) I hope you find your answers.

 | RE: Suggestion to make Find-a-grave even more powerful Hi,
This is a good suggestion, but we have not done it for two reasons.
1. Cemeteries are almost always 'works in progress', meaning, people are still being added. So, by the time we flag it as 'complete', it is almost guaranteed to be incomplete. We would, of course, capture the date that it was complete, but many people would take see 'full transcription completed on xxx' and just assume that it was still accurate.
2. The bigger reason is that this type of information is rarely, rarely communicated to us (granted, if we posted it, more people would be likely to submit it). But, unlike some other sites, Find A Grave has always been about the 'group effort'. And it is very, very rare for a single contributor to submit all of the names within a cemetery (tiny cemeteries are an exception, of course). So it's unlikely that any one contributor would even know if a full transcription had happened.
Hope that makes sense. I'm not ruling it out completely for the future, but it's not something we're adding at this time. Actually, if you know of a cemetery that is fully transcribed (and a date it was), let me know and I'll add it to the database and play around with how it might show up if we ever do add that functionality. Thanks. | | | Lindan S Caldwell

 | RE: Martha Housdon tombstone Lin created the memorial but, I was the one that took the photo. No, the flower was already there. I do not know who the sextant is but, I will try and find out for you.Bonnie | | | Jen Snoots
 | RE: Maryland Snoots Hi Vicky, Are you related? Have to say I haven't worked much on family stuff the past few years...I got a digital camera & started working on everyone else's family for this site! But I can try & answer questions you might have. ~Jen~ | | | | [View all messages...] |
