Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a 5th-generation musician born into the musical Hayes family of Wetzel County. I became interested in family history listening to my grandmother Ruth Hayes Smith tell me musical stories about my ancestors and her siblings starting around 1994. From there, I began studying all of the branches of my family tree around 2003.

Dana, it is both my pleasure and my sorrow to transfer your cousin's memorial to you. Please accept my condolences on your tragic and sudden loss. Both your cousins were amazing people who lived life to the fullest, and were a true inspiration to many. Blessings!!

Dana, I transferred the memorial to you. The dates of death are quite confusing. I do have an idea about the difference. It is possible that someone had the stone set at a later date and put the wrong date, but if she died on in Nov. then it would not have been at all correct. The death record makes it very confusing, but usually death records are correct. Note the death records below hers was changed From Nov. to Feb. so I would say that it was a mistake on the recorders part and that Feb. 12, 1939 is the correct date of death, just a recorder's error. Interesting, but I looked at the ones around her. I would guess it is poor records and the date on the tombstone is correct. If it were me I might note in the bio or on the notes for the stone the place to find the death record. Would be nice if you had an obit. to go by.
Hope you can figure it out.
Barbara

Theodore Bullock
Theodore Bullock of Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO is buried in Block 13, Space 3807. I was able to locate the location, but unfortunately there is no marker for him.

Malcolms at Dock's Creek

Hello Dana,

Concerning the incorrect spelling for Lindsey Malcolm: As it turns out, I had several Malcolm names spelled incorrectly. They were: Beulah; Dorothy; Emma; Lindsey and Paul. I have now corrected the names on Find A Grave. They are all buried nearby one another, so I will assume they are probably related. When I originally created my database in MS Excel, I think the auto fill picked up on a single typo, and I didn't catch it, so I ended up with several misspellings. :)

Regards,

Paul

Hi Dana, I'll keep a look out to see if I can find Doshas grave. But is seems that the adults are not always buried even in the same cemetery as a child. In doing family search the children are often missed in the cencus records. So I hope by me putting them on find a grave it will help locate them for someone. Thank you for already having the memorial page complete so all I had to do was put the picture in. Linda

Hi Dana, I posted a picture of the baby's cemetery stone on Find a grave. I found the West Virginia death certificates with there parents names on them. Looks like it says Clyde Cooney and Dosha or Dasha (Hensley) Cooney. It is sad that they only lived three hours. I thought you might like to add the mothers name. Death certificate #1391-1392.
