I have been working on our ancestry for many years. I am working on several trees as well as Find A Grave. I also share relative names on "Green Hills Pioneers". I like working on all of the above. Just knowing where my family came from is a giant reward.|

|Deborah Shelton Wood||Hi Peggy|
Me again...sorry to bug you but could you delete the part of our ancestor's bio that lists a civil war regiment and company. As you say yourself, he died in 1796...long before the civil war.
Giles Bowers Find A Grave Memorial# 54790949
|Deborah Shelton Wood||FYI|
My ancestor, 54790949, Gile Bowers who died in 1796 could not have married Nancy who was born in 1847...and the military listed for him is a civil war company....please advise. He lived and died in Franklin Co NC...it is doubtful that he is buried in Grayson Co VA...quite a distance.

Samuel is my eighth great grandfather also! I would love to trade information with you. You can contact me at email@example.com. My mother's (Shirley Alice Edwards Davidson) (whom I am trying to do this for, as well as for myself :)) grandmother was Nannie Louella Stanfield.
Thank you so much for putting a message on this site - I can't believe it!!!!!
Thank you so much,
Cindy Davidson Coleman
Hi Peggy, I am wondering what your connection is to Birdie Verdell Smith BarroW? Her sister was my Great Grandmother.

As caretaker of all the cemetery records for the church I do not transfer any memorials as I stated in my bio. This is an on going site and I add information whenever I find it. As said before I added John's in 2007. If I can help with any other information for you just let me know at my email address.

Peggy another silly question my family on my grandmothers side were Quakers and the Lamb and Dixon name is very common as being Quakers. My Clark, CAmpbell and Stewart line goes way back to Chester, Penn. then Georgia, South and North Carolina to Ohio then Kansas.

Peggy, hi, it does not make sense if Nancy was in Ray co., in the 1870 census to have here buried clear over to Platte co. I have lived in this area all my life and that is a long ways...... do you know if they had moved? Just curious seems strange from Fishing River even Excelsior would be closer?

Thanks Peggy, are you from the St Joseph, Mo. area? There were Swaffords connected to the Ritchie family there. I live near Gladstone, Mo. and White Chapel cem. is what started me on the search, there are Piburn's buried there and led me to John Logan Piburn and kept growing. Thanks for the answer, they are cousins of my family but not direct. I seem to chase all the cousins aunts and uncles. Rush Creek is an interesting cem. had no idea it was there. Anyway have to run there are links now on the Piburn, Rogers family now and am happy they are connected.

I made a memorial for John in 2007. Could you remove yours so as not to have duplicates? I can add any information that you might like on the original entry. Thank you.
