Agnes Jenkins Hello, Checking the photo requests for Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cambria County,Pa.and saw you have a request for Agnes Jenkins. Apparently another volunteer claimed and posted a picture on her memorial page for you. Do you still want a picture ? Let me know JIP
RE: Bechak. I checked the obituary index for the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat and didn't see anything for him. I also checked every possible lead and name combination on Ancestry.com and still didn't see anything which is strange.
I tried to e-mail the link to the obit index site but it's down. It was on the Johnstown-Cambria County Library site. I see you e-mailed me, so I'll send you the files in the pdf format.
I saved them in a folder on my computer just for ease and convenience sake. (And it helps for times like this when the site is down!). If you don't have a need for the indexes, just delete the e-mails- no offense taken.
Marian Hileman #103324725 Marian has no headstone. The only person on the plot that has a headstone is John W. Hileman. I am posting a photo of the unmarked grave so at least there will be something to show on the memorial and to document the site.
As for the discrepancy between the death of 1900 and the burial of 1904, I've seen this often with Grandview. Most likely she died in 1900 and was buried someplace like Sandyvale and was soon after re-interred at Grandview in 1904. I found her obituary listed in the Johnstown Tribune Obituary index in the February 1, 1900 edition so that is most likely what happened.
Re: Jenkins This is what I found for you, hope this helps you. I do a lot of behind the scenes genealogy work for people. Take care and God bless you for all the help you have given to people. Take care. Sis
