 | RE: Samuel Hill I seriously doubt there is Civil War marker for him in the cemetery. Larry Standlee, who took the photo, is very thorough. He transcribes dates AT the cemetery and, as you can see, takes several photos of the stone to ensure he gets a good one. The government will supply a free marker ONLY if there is no other marker on the plot.Added by suzieh on Sep 21, 2012 12:39 PM | |

 | Carpenter Cem. Brewsters Hi Diana, My family has been taking care of the Carpenter Cem. for years and we mowed it yesterday. My husband cleaned and took photos of several stones and the ones we could make out we added to their memorial pages.(Fairbea, George, Pheobe, Sheron). There are over 100 unmarked graves because they had only stones or stones with paint that has washed off over the years. I was wondering if you had ever been to the cemetery? Sorry we couldn't find more for you. Lill | |

 | RE: Thomas Beets Much belated acknowledgement of your efforts. Sometimes when we are FAR away we have no idea what we are asking. Hope there was something redeeming from your day? Thanx so much for trying.

 | RE: Alexander Van Keuren You're welcome! It was my pleasure to help.
I was surprised to find them, actually. It was the first time I searched for a plot location in IOOF that ended in "0" that actually had a stone. Normally, the ones that end in "0" are unmarked graves. I only looked because I was close to where it was supposed to be, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I didn't actually expect to find the stone! :)
