Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a seventh generation Rhode Islander! I have been researching my family history for about 20 years now and am starting to explore branches of my families not just direct lines. When my mother passed away I started compiling cemetary records for this website, that I discovered while searching family records on line. I was brought up to respect and enjoy cemeteries. Particularly the old Swedish cemetary my mother is now buried in. It was a place we visited to care for the gravesites and keep connected to generations gone by. They are a connection to our past and history.

Gravesite of Edmund Burke
Dear Ms. Fernandes,

I have been researching my ancestry and have discovered the photos you put up on the Find of Grave website for Edmund Burke. He is my fourth great grandfather! I am originally from Colorado, but have lived in RI for about 25 years now and have only recently been finding these historic connections to this state, which I find to be quite amazing. Anyway, thank you for posting this photo and I was wondering if you might give me some guidance as to where in the cemetery his site is located? I would like to go visit. I have unknowingly driven by this cemetery on numerous occasions. Thank you!

RE: Hello
Hello Leslie...
..if the marker has alot of lichen on it, I usually leave it alone and take a picture as is. If you are related to the individual on the marker, then the situation changes (according to Find A Grave policy).
Although this issue is listed under Find A Grave FAQ's, I choose to stick to policy so I have peace of mind when taking pictures in general.
Hope my response helps :)

Mary Greene Burke memorial
1834 is the year transcribed on the very bottom; it is quite difficult to see. I zoomed in very close with my lense to capture it. :)
