|Mark Gibson||Parents of James Quincy Ogden (1812-1874)|
I am a descendant of John Ogden (abt 1854-1884) whom is the brother of James Quincy Ogden (1812-1874) and Mary Ann Ogden (1813-1893). John Ogden (abt 1804-1884) is my 2nd great grandfather. My mother is Anne Ogden Gibson (1923-2009).
I would like your help if you can provide it. I do have information that may be of interest to you if you do not already have it.
I have not been able to determine with any certainty my Ogden ancestors any earlier than the 3 siblings mentioned in my first sentence. My cousin Jeff Ogden submitted a sample for y-DNA analysis to try to help me establish this Ogden paternal line and I am waiting for the results.
Do you have an online tree anywhere that I may examine? Do you have any evidence regarding the ancestors of these 3 siblings?
|Mike Ogden||My First Inquiy|
Good Day Robert,
By way of introduction, I am one of two surviving grandsons of Orvis Luther Ogden and Nellie Duke, just starting the process of preserving some of our family history for the future generations. I was born in Clearfield, and live 10 years in Niagara Falls before we pulled up stakes to Oregon. My oldest son just found out he'll be a father soon, so thought the time for capturing some of our roots was right.
I see from my infantile research that you are very active in this arena, and from what I get from your postings on various sites (that have been immensely helpful) we are not far separated on the Clearfield Ogden tree, but I've not discerned exactly how we might connect. Are you somehow descended from George W. Ogden, brother to James Bishop (my ancestor)? That has been my suspicion...
Look forward to your response, hoping you still see these postings!

These photos were taken from my family tree in ancestry, I would at least like an acknowledgment for the photos. They were mine.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.
Find A Grave Memorial of Joseph Ogden, #42962141 is believed to be a Revolutionary War Patriot. Are you aware of this? Very Cool!

I noticed your name was Ogden. Didn't know if you notice that I also added several new Ogden memorials! Hope this is helpful.

Just added the only known photo of Olive given to my husband by his dad, Mearl Snell (Olive'son).

I looked again for her headstone and could not find it. However I have found her Husband Peter's headstone and have a photo for it. Let me know what you want me to do with it.

Sorry . . . forgotten about our exchange from way last year. I've now read thru it all including "newest post". Thanks.

Ok . . . take your time. NO hurry. My husband had double-bypass surgery in March, so I do know how you are feeling about now.
