RE: The emails
Hi Lydia, Thanks so very much for the documents, especially the death certificate for Minnie. She is the sister of Peter Matthews, but notice that Peter's
death certificate has William Matthews as his father and Minnie Barton as his mother? Minnie's daughter Wilma Coward Anderson occasionally visited Mary Brown Matthews and her children after Peter's death in 1927,according to Peter's youngest daughter Dot Matthews Morgan who lives in Sumter,SC. Aunt Dot and I will look over these documents. Thanks again.

Minnie Matthews Coward
Minnie 10 yrs., born 1870., Sidney 7 yrs. and a 6 month old infant are shown on the 1880 census for Williamsburg County, SC. Listed, also is Sarah Matthews 41 yrs. and single. I.N. and Rebecca are shown as their parents, but they seem to be a little old to have these small children. I believe these were Sarah's children. An 1860 census shows I.N. and Rebecca having eight children before 1860. Could these be different families? My grandfather Peter Cornelius Matthews was born the same year as the 6 month old 11/28/1879. The only connection is Sarah, listed as a daughter in the 1860 census. I believe the 1860 family to be Isaac N. and Rebecca Mouzon Matthews.
Thanks, Mary

William Middleton Matthews' father
William Middleton Matthews is my third great grandfather. I am trying to find out who is father is. Per this website, you have Isaac and Sarah Matthews as his parents but I have also heard from another source that Alexander Middleton Matthews is his father. How did you come up with Isaac? I am at a roadblock in my research. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Jill Matthews Chapuis

I went to to office and saw the cemetery record. Mr. Browne bought two plots when Mrs. Browne was buried. According to the record, she is the only one buried there. If this is your family, that plot may still belong to the family. The cemetery may buy it back if nobody will be using it.

RE: William Max Lee and Missouri D. Lee
I have put in a request for a photo for William which should solve the mystery.

RE: Millers and Morgans
I have not found those other 2 Morgans, yet. I kinda assumed they would be nearby but they were not. Been back over there a couple times looking for them and others, but not ready to give up yet.
