Hello Roxanne, Eli Harvey Hume and Ellen MacNaughton Hume are my 3rd great grandparents and, of course, their children are my 3rd great aunts and uncles. Would it be possible for you to transfer management of Eli Harvey Hume and Ellen MacNaughton Hume to me? I would also like to manage David L. Hume, his wife Emma, and their children. I visited Mapleton Village cemetery about 10 years ago and also have pictures. At the time when I was there, I did not know there were other children buried in the area since my 2nd great grandmother came to Massachusetts and married in 1868. I believe all their other children left the Mapleton area to go to Rockland, ME and Massachusetts. Their youngest daughter stayed in Rockland, ME and died when she was 50 years old. I have additional information on Lena.
Lena was born Wilena F. Hopkinson April 22, 1864 to William F. Hopkinson & Eunice Decker in Fort Fairfield, ME. Though her headstone gives DoB as 4/22/1865, the 1870 & 1900 censuses give her birth in 1864. She was the third child of 2 daughters and a son. Her father William was a lawyer, a former town clerk of Fort Fairfield and at the time of his death in Sept. 16, 1863 a Republican Legislator for Maine. She never new her father and her mother remarried Joshua Ford having two boys by him. Her mother Eunice died late 1871/early 1872. Upon her death Lena and her sister Mary were sent to live with their Grandparents Jonathan Hopkinson & Susan Boynton in Fort Fairfield. Thanks for the offer, Roxanne. Unfortunately, Bertha's parents aren't listed on Find A Grave. Bertha was born in NB (Grand Falls) but that's all the information I have about her parents.
