Credit for Bio to TINA Contributor #46592885, who has described the ethics of genealogy clearly.
Please DO NOT post pictures of death certificates on the memorials I have created. I will be glad to add the information to the biography. Also, please DO NOT post "tabloid" type obituaries/articles (tragedies, illegal or unethical or possibly immoral issues.) This is a memorial website rather than genealogical.
Have additional information for a memorial? Use the edit function. Include your contributor number so that I can give you credit for the information.
Find-A-Grave guidelines for transfer requests are for direct relatives (spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents). If you are requesting a transfer, please be specific about your relationship. I am not willing to transfer my family members, but I will be happy to add information to their memorials. If you request links to parents, spouses, etc., please provide the primary documentation of their connection (death record, delayed birth, etc.) not census.
Have you sent additional information or links to add? If you used the edit function, I will notify you when the information is added or the correction made. If you have not heard from me within a week, please resend the correction. I do not ignore corrections.
Want to use my photos? Please ask. I'm easy to get along with, just don't copy my photos without asking. Do not post them on any other websites. If you are considering posting photos or other material on your Ancestry family tree, please understand you are giving Ancestry.com full rights to use your photos/information in any way they wish. Deleting the information from your tree does not remove the data from their servers.
Please remember that Find-A-Grave is a hobby, it is not a job. I am a volunteer just like you and sometimes life does get in the way of hobbies.
Rude emails will be blocked.

 | RE: Massey Hough 1935 FL BJ,
Glad to be of assistance. Does he have a living next-of-kin? If so they can apply to VA for a grave marker at Government expense. It has been a project of mine for the last year to convince the VA to provide group burial markers at both the Woodlawn and Islamorada sites listing all the veterans who died in the 1935 Labor Day hurricane. I'm making slow progress. If you like I could email you a copy of the original handwritten 3x5 card recording the identification of Mr. Hough's body. There is a notation that a check for $645.62 was paid on October 15, 1935; so someone knew where he was. Incidentally he was assigned to Camp 1 on Windley Key. There's a bar and grill there now.
Richard

 | Robert Hough Fletcher Robert (Memorial #38107949) married my mother's first cousin, Marian Estelle Miles Fletcher (this is my mother's Conaway side, all of them are pretty well linked). Marian died Weds. on her 93rd birthday. I was creating a memorial for her and realized she was marreid to Robert and that I'd never looked into where his middle name came from. I asked some relatives at the church visitation and was able to link him up to his Hough roots. I thought you might be interested.
Also, in his line is James "Jim" Little Hough. Jim ahd a son, Jim Little, Jr. He went to school with my parents. He went by the name Junior. He was a really good football player. I think he played for Furman University. I have been told by several family members that he played for the Green Bay Packers for a short time, too.Added by Peka on Jun 22, 2012 1:49 PM | | | Peka
