Richard Lewis

I have a book called "Cemeteries of Madison County Mississippi". It has the listing of all cemeteries in Madison Co. And all the people buried in them. There is no listing for a Richard Lewis in any of them.

Sorry I couldn't help.

I finished you request for Sabina Graves. With her were her husband W. A. L. Graves and son J. W. Kinney Graves. I uploaded photos of all three to their pages.

I'll put you on my friends list and keep in touch. The cemetery shop was not open, so next time we go, I'll check with them.

Well, bad news. We went to Canton today, but did not find his head stone. I have a list of all the monuments the city received and he is on it. There are a few stones missing and I am scared his is one of them. I will not give up though.

Janette, could this Richard Lewis you are looking for, be a Confederate Soldier. I have a marker for Richard Lewis
Co.I,2nd Missouri Infantry CSA
Died in Canton Tuesday March 20,1863.

If this is him, I can get you a photo of his marker. The Confederate Cemetery was unable to be located. The city had markers set, for all the known and unknown soldiers. At least they are not totally lost.

Waiting to hear from you.
