|I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding. |
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

Thank you for the very nice pictures you took of their graves. I have forwarded them onto the family. I am sure that they will be very grateful. I appreciate your time and efforts to make Find A Grave such a great web site. Thanks again!

I recently came across a picture of Dr. Foy when the Auburn 1954 yearbook was dedicated to him. I wanted to add it to the site for him that you created but there are already 5 photos. At least two are duplicates.
Would you consider removing the duplicates so that I can add this photo of him to his site? Thanks so much!

Hello Don I had a question and a favor to ask you but then I read your Bio, the question was I was curious if there is any way at all that you can make an exception for me and transfer a few Atwell's over to me that's buried in Houk Cemetery in Metcalfe County Ky. I am kin and related to the Atwell's as well, My grand mother was Catherine Alice Atwell Hester my moms mother, and I would really like to be able to manage her Find A Grave memorial and a few more that's also there, I also have a lot of info pics and other things that I would like to add to a few of the memorials once they are transferred to me. I hope that you can and will consider and spare a few for me and transfer to me, I look forward to your response. Joey Bennett

Don, I did that back in 2005 or 2006 and it was all digital. Somehow the card they were all on became damaged and I was only able to recover a few of the photos. I had other cemeteries backed up onto cd's so they were all okay [Damascus, Galilee, and one or two others that I can't remember off the top of my head [but that was just for Jackson Co. I got a few in Alabama that trip as well. [Abbeville, Lawrenceville, Big Creek].
I really enjoy it for a lot of reasons and have come to the conclusion that I am related to everyone from within a 300 mi radius of Jackson. Now that's a lot of kinfolk, but then you have to take into consideration our ancestors didn't have the great methods of birth control that we have today: electricity and television. Well, when I die, I'm going to be raising a ruckus in Marvin Chapel since I'll be the 6th direct generation from my Gr x plenty Archibald Ball [>Joseph Louis Ball, George Ellis Ball, Pallie Ball Ward, Mary Clyde Ward Battistin then me and even my daughter wishes to be there as well. Are you aware of the "Hamilton Cemetery"? It is on the East side of 77 between the Ward Homestead and what was the Smith Homestead and I believe is still in the family but not sure if the last name is the same. I have posted the pics I took however it was after dusk and they are not all that readable - not sure if daylight would correct that or even if I got them all.

Thank you, Don. It is much appreciated.
Hope to meet you someday when I can get to Graceville/Jackson Cty.
Thank you again. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much Don. You can add it now as I deleted one of the photos. I really do appreciate it as I won't be able to get up there until next year. Again, I thank you very, very much.
