Bio Photo Bio: I've had a long and varied life. I was born in Oregon, but have spent the good part of my life in northern California, mostly across the Bay from San Francisco. I've had many, many vocational and avocational jobs through the years for which it would take a volume to set down called-up memories.

Obediah Smith
Obediah preached in the same circuit as my husband's g-g-grandpa John Ford and I think John may have named his youngest son after him. I'm contacting you to acknowledge that but also because I am looking for any scrap of information about John. I think he may have been the "Parson Ford" who died 1869 in Cedar County, apparently a pauper. And his son John Jr was definitely a Union soldier who also dissapeared before 1870 - possibly in a raid near Roscoe or Chalk Level. If by any chance you have something among Obediah's things that mention a Ford, I would like to hear from you. It was truly a tragic time in our country's history.

If you ever run across a Hezekiah Wade born about 1829 in Ohio, that will be the one I'm connected to. Bev

Murle W Reed Charles
I read the note you left with the flowers on her memorial about Byrd Wade being an uncle. I have Wades in my family as well. They came from the Morgan co., OH area, to Kansas, and then to Grays Harbor, WA. Is there any connection?

Gary I just sent a response to your other email address. I'm not sure it went through, as it doesn't show up in my sent box. Please let me know as I had some important info to share with you. Audrey

Gary I'm a Stainbrook/Steinbrook researcher and want to thank you for posting the photo of the memorial. A correction for your records. Marcus and Julia were married in Lee County, Illinois on 21 May 1869 by Madison Handy a Minister of the Gospel. I have an official copy of the record. Her name recorded twice as: Julia A. Shovestall. Would be interested in knowing the source for Marcus date of birth. Audrey Florentine
