|i spent nearly 53 years in hickory county, missouri. didn't realize until about the time i moved to polk county just who i was kin to. take the name thompson, add in moore, gaston, baugh, iiames, and handlin and i am thankful that my father's bunch came from iowa and nebraska. although i have been a member for nearly 5 years, i am just now learning how to use a digital camera and add photos. |
if i add anything to one of you memorial pages that you do not like, or want removed, please contact me. i mean no offence nor do i wish to be a problem to anyone.
if you are from out of the area and need help with any family info, i will be more than happy to help, if i can. most of the old hickory and polk county families have been documented, sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right book or obituary.
i have cemetery books and info from hickory, polk and st. clair counties. also access to older marriages from all three, so if any will help, send me an e-mail. there is an underscore in my e-mail address, it is between the debie and the igo.

Thanks a bunch for the headstone photo for Hannah.
She is a relative by marriage but I have not uncovered exactly what standing just yet.
Sounds dumb, to much to explain, her photo is still a large value.

Johnna will have to attach Ethel's father William Thompson #43105509 as Ethel was entered into Find a grave by her.

Thank you so much for the photo of William G. Hartman's marker (#14285147) from Salem Cem., Polk Co., MO. Would it be OK with you if I post your photo, with credit, to my Ancestry.com family tree?
Also, your bio mentions that you are willing to look up info from Polk Co., MO - Anything you can tell me about Willie would be greatly appreciated. His parents are Michael #44824370 & Nancy (Rager)#44824462 Hartman. I know very little about him, but thanks to your photo, I now know he served during WWI. I have copy of draft card, then he disappears from census records - obviously left for the war right away. I don't think he was ever married, but not 100% sure that's correct. Any light you can help me shed on this man would be appreciated.

I'm back and forth, sounds like I may get to go back on a more permanent basis, wish me luck.
Maybe next time,
