I've been researching my various family lines since the 70's when I was helping my grandmother. I have most of my information on Ancestry.com. I am from Clayton/Quincy area of Adams County, Illinois I am a licensed clinical social worker/mental health therapist.|
I will continually work to transfer information from my Ancestry.com tree to Find A Grave as I can make the time.

I am curious where you found the birth date for Capt John. Every where I have looked I come up with him being born in 1812.

I am the grand-daughter of Freeman Walters, the great grand-daughter of William and Lora Alice Walters, the great-great grand-daughter of McDonald Walters, who was the grandson of Bartlett Asher. McDonald's parents were William Walters and Catherine Asher Walters. I do believe we're cousins! I live about 1 mile away from the Eugene Black property which is where the Goss cemetary is and hope to explore it soon. I am presently restoring the farm house William and Lora Alice Walters built in the early 1900's when my grandfather was a small boy. We still manage some of the original farm which was purchased in 1822. I would love hearing anything you might want to share! Thank you-hope to get to know you better! My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org

We found george for you. I also took the picture of Ellen who was on the same stone. I dont want to assume they are husband and wife, but probably are.

Thanks so much for your very prompt response!
I'm looking for George Hults (died 1923) and his wife, Louisa Jane (died 1945). I had contacted the funeral home there, but they said they would have to locate their records as the 'old' ones were not readily available - I've not heard anything since. Any help you might provide is greatly appreciated...thank you! Thanks so much for the time you commit to this project! Carol Willis

I noticed you entered several graves located at the Old Westside Cemetery in Clayton, IL. Have you ever located a plat map for that cemetery? I'm trying to find the burial locations for two people, but am not having any luck. They apparently did not have headstones. I appreciate your response even if you do not have any information! Thanks so much, Carol Willis
