Are you also a descendant of the Anderson Family? I have been researching them for a while now and appreciate what you have collected and put on the memorial.

Hi, I am trying to confirm that his George Russell married to Elizabeth Bean had a son William Russell, Maj, who had a daughter Dicey Russell, that married Solomon Wagner of Decherd Co.TN, lived on Wagner Creek, he is my gggg Grandfather, his son James Wagner was elder in the baptist church, moved to Blanco, tx with his son Solomon Wagner who was married to Margaret McKelvey, she died in 1873 in Blanco, and they were my great grandmother, Elizabeth Wagner's parents, she married a Cox.
Can you confirm the William Russell connection, I have found conflicting info of Two Williams...
Thank you for any help.
Also who was Georges parents, I show a William Russell?

Hi, I am related to George Russell by his son Maj. William R. Russell, buried in the Denton Hollow Cem, Franklin Co,AL, headstone photo online.
Williams daughter Dicey Russell married Solomon Wagner, and he is my 4th Genx Grandfather.
Solomon and Dicey's Son James Wagner came to Texas in 1872 with his son Solomon Wagner, and his daughter Mary Elizabeth Wagner (9mos old)settled in Blanco Co. Tx. My Great Grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Wagner, she married Andrew Sidney Cox, their son Floyd B. Cox is my Grandfather.
Do you have any confirmation, or photo of George Russell's burial site?
Thanks for any history you have, and if you know who was Georges parents, and so on.

Hello Martin, I tried to reply to your email but it would not go through for some reason, George is my ggg gf, I had already had George Russell and his wife Elizabeth Bean Russell listed as Elizabeth's parents on my site, Do you have a picture of his headstone? in my searching I have not been able to find that he is buried in Bent Creek, I was never sure he was buried in a cemetery at all being where and how he was killed. I have also listed the rest of our Russell and Bean grandparents and also George's sister Lydia who was also taken captive by the Indians and rescued by Nancy Ward. What I do not know is was Lydia captured by and at the same time by the same Indians that killed her brother.
