Ocile Shelton-Maplewood
I would like to think that someone would do the same for me some day when I am hunting my ancestors. When I fulfill a request I always go ahead and take any relatives with the same last name near the requested monument. Sorry there is a red semi in the background - he was loading to go and came over to see what I was doing.
Best Wishes.

RE: Re: John Perry Trussell
I'm related through Hugh Reed Kite, Sr. and Jr. I just started the herculean task of documenting genealogy of all my family lines, so thank you for the inquiry. I would much rather pass down correct information to my children.

I amended the death date. Please let me know if you find any other information in your search. Are you also related to Eliza?

There were some Johnson's who married into the family, so that matches with the bible page also. I'll see what else I can find.

I would think the bible would be the best source, too. From what I can tell, it looks like death date Nov. 28, 1858 with him being 30 years of age which would be about right. Is that what you're seeing also? I had found the 1862 date on some links a Civil War buff gave me. However, he was showing that Susan Jane Trussell was not his daughter, but from my family records she was his daughter, so I guess I can take that info. with a grain of salt. I want to double check some Civil War records and see what I can find before I change the date. I'm showing she didn't marry Cobb until 1869 and then had her other children.

Re: John Perry Trussell
I can't put my hands on it at the moment, but I had found some information that he was alive until 1862. I thought maybe he wasn't included in the 1860's census since he was fighting. However, thanks to your question, I looked at my research again and he may have died in 1858. I'm not sure, but I saw a family bible page that listed his death in 1858. So, the answer is, I don't know. Let me look again and I'll let you know. If you don't hear from me soon, remind me please.
