Bio Photo My name is Betty Ervin
after my mother past away and realize I really didn't know anything about my roots. I started a family tree. I am trying to find as many people as possible so that I can put the information in a book format. So that for those that were like me can have the information to help them. I live in Norfolk, Virginia so it is hard for me to try to use the resources that is available in jackson County. I really appreciate anyone's help. I am hoping to get a Prine-Derby family reunion going sometime soon.

God's Blessings
Betty

Bachman family
Hi Betty, Sorry that I did not get back to you sooner. I am just getting started with my family research and really don't know to much yet. According to my father, we have family all over the place, LOL. So I might have family members in Detroit area. When I find out more, I will be more then happy to help you out, or if you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them.

Hugs
Nikki B

P.S., One thing that I have found out, the Bachman family is a very big family.

Lemon/Lemen
I used to have the "Lemen" book. I was never able to connect anyone to the "Lemon" family. I sold the book to a "Lemen" person so I can't check anything for you now. I know from taking the DNA test that there are 2 main lines of "Lemon" families. I am from the German branch. I have traced back to Joseph Lemon in New Jersey 1725.

Sorry I wasn't of much help.

Research
I feel a bit silly. I just now noticed your note to me on my contributor page. Sorry it took me so long! Yes, I would love to help you with your research. It seems you have some information that I do not have, also. My grandparents still live in that area, so when I visit I get to also visit all the nearby cemeteries, which is nice, but not nearly often enough to satiate my curiosity. My email is on my page, so if you have any specific questions, just drop me a line! Good luck with your research!

Welcome to FindAGrave!
Hello, I just wanted to thank you for adding the Brower records to Oaklawn Cemetery. David and Abigail were my 4th great-grandparents. I am descended throught their daughter Josephine Adella (Brower) Norton. She is also buried in the cemetery, but has no headstone. I also live away from the area, so I understand the obstacles you face. I'll just say that actually getting to visit the places is wonderful and I hope you get to soon! Good luck in your research! :)

Sincerely,
Jesse (Jessica) Norton
