Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm researching my family history, have been since the late 70s, and would enjoy helping others in this arena as a means of repaying all those who have aided me.

Epitaphs are a crucial part of history, and helping those unable to do it themselves, especially family researchers, gives one a sense of purpose and gratification. That, in itself, is thanks enough.

Please feel free to use any of the photos taken by me as part of your family tree or genealogy.

No thank you. I get quite a few requests at the cemetery so I'm there anyway. I think the stones that are set are probably there or the tree that's there has swallowed them. They are about the size of an index card. Most of the baby graves aren't marked but in this area there were quite a few and that's what made me think they might be there. I know Joe at Maple Grove Cemetery has access to some of the records for Highland cemetery but I don't know if he knows if they are marked. I need to snap a picture this weekend I'll poke around a little. I have to stop in at Maple Grove too, its right across the street. I'll ask him. I've been researching my family history too. I just think of us all as one big family!

I found markers all the way to 22. I didn't have a screw driver with me or I would of poked around a bit. I can go back and see what I can find. I'm at that cemetery quite a bit. It sounds weird but I ordered one of those sticks they use to pick up trash. I am trying to find stones the same size at another cemetery, and I thought I could use one of those instead of crawling around. They are so small. They have only the initials and the grave # on them. I know the city took over this cemetery years ago but I don't know what records they have.

I looked at this for you and the two items at each edge of the headstone are opened books with the inscription Holy bible. The plaque in the middle has an inscription that reads Together Forever. Hopes this helps. Wonderer

Yes. Genealogy is also my passion. One of the reasons I take and post photos on Find A Grave is to help other genealogists as payback for those who helped me.
