Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm researching my family history, have been since the late 70s, and would enjoy helping others in this arena as a means of repaying all those who have aided me.

Epitaphs are a crucial part of history, and helping those unable to do it themselves, especially family researchers, gives one a sense of purpose and gratification. That, in itself, is thanks enough.

Please feel free to use any of the photos taken by me as part of your family tree or genealogy.

RE: Vincent 'Victor' Tullis
It is no problem! I'm just sorry I couldn't turn up any information for you. If anything else turns up, I'll let you know.

RE: Arvilla and Lee Mathews
My memory is failing me!! I dont remember if I replied to you already. We have not found the marriage date yet. Arvilla is my husband's, Lynn Kent Pelton, mother. The circumstances of the marriage are confusing because they apparently got married one day while the kids were at school. They had been living in the same house but did not occupy the same sleeping quarters until that time. There is every indication they were married but my husband does not remember what day it was. All the children have passed away. There are still county marriage records that have not been transcribed yet so it will probably turn up yet.

Elizabeth White - Maplewood Cemetery
This grave is unmarked. The section's stones have been documented/photographed then posted to Find A Grave by Rebecca Doan.

I did walk the section again this afternoon and checked the plot, 26, and did not find a stone.

Sorry there isn't a stone to photograph.

RE: Arvilla and Lee Mathews
I cant find it either but a lot of the marriage records in idaho dont seem to be extracted or indexed. Ken, Arvilla's son and my husband, tried for years to remember the circumstances so we could find the record. He remembers that Lee slept on the couch till one day he came home from school and they said they were married and Lee moved into the bedroom with Arvilla.
What that tells me is 1. The place had to be close. Probably Cassia County or Minidoka County although it could have been Twin Falls. Any where else would probably have taken longer to get there and back while the kids were in school. I do not know if there was a 3 day waiting period back then but I believe there was so that would be two days of traveling if it were farther than Cassia or Minidoka Counties. My guess is they were married in Rupert.
2. It was before Ken was out of school. That would be sometime between about 1953 and 1957.

Lee and Arvilla Mathews
There are two memorials for each of these two people. One from you and one from Chuck Simmons. Can this be fixed?

Arvilla and Lee Mathews
I would like to take care of these two memorials if you dont object. They are my husband's mom and step dad.

I just updated it. There are no stones after 18. Its possible that there was once a small marker. I did find some at the top of the plot that are about 3x4. They were sunken into the ground. This cemetery filed bankruptcy and the city took over. While I have a master listing of names and where they are buried there's no way to get a plot layout. You just have to figure it out by the graves that are marked. I wish I could tell you more. If you'd like additional pictures let me know. I'm there quite a bit.
