Sarah Smithart Riley
Sarah and Louis are buried right here in Greensburg, their stones are on find a grave. I have found their local addresses and seen the homes where they lived. Look at South Park Cemetery, Decatur County, IN. I could look up death certs and obits if you want. There were three daughters who died here in Decatur County, I think, Sarah, Marthena and one other.

Sarah Smithart Riley
Her stone says born on 03/21/1823. In the 1850 census, it was transcribed as age 23, but I believe it is really age 28. Daughter Marthena Simmonds was my father's (Robert E. Simmonds 1926-2010)great-grandmother through son George's son Robert Roy.

It is a small thing that you may already have but I thought I would let you know. We must be related - I wish I had pictures of Marthena and Sanford to share with you.

Have a nice weekend.

I found you through Find a grave. If you want to check on me, I am on Facebook as Susan Simmonds Ricke.

Jimmy Martin
Hi Joyce,
Thanks for the correction of the dates on Jimmy Martin's memorial page. I am the Iowa Mary. We met you at Harold's funeral. Harold's wife, Mary, died Nov. 6, 2014. This morning I added her obit to the memorial page but it probably won't show for a few days. Her memorial number is 138497463.

RE: Darby and MarthaSmithhart
I know that Darby's father was Nathan and Nathan's father was another Darby. The oldest Darby was born in 1759 in Brunswick County, NC and dying in 1846 in Whitley County, KY. Do you know when the Smithharts came to America, how the merger of the name Smith and Hart came together, where do the Smithharts come from in Europe originally or any of the generations before 1759? Feel free to email me at ( dixiecrat78@yahoo.com )

Searching for information on Darby and Martha Polly Smithhart, particularly information prior to 1800. Can you be of any help? Thanks much!

As you can see from the flowers I left on Marshall and Sarah's memorials, I'm also directly related to them. If you'd like to send me a message with the information you want to add to their memorials, I'd be happy to look it over.

Kirk
