I went to Buffalo Springs Cemetery and spoke with the wonderful staff there. Unfortunately it was an "all white" cemetery until the 80's. Greenwood Cemetery is right next to it and is a "colored" cemetery. I located the Tardifs, but not Mr Harris. From what I understand when they went in to do the clean-up many markers, including full size intact ones, were tossed down a steep hill at the back. I will get back there eventually to try and locate those markers. I'll keep you in mind. Michelle

Sent an email but it didn't go through. There is no stone at Camp Nelson Family Cemetery for Susie Harris. I suggest contacting the funeral home and making sure the stone made it there. I don't see her as being unmarked on purpose and 1956 it would have likely been granite which last's forever.
For Mr Harris, I'll try and get down to Stanford this week. I spoken with the cemetery and the records they have are by who bought the plot, not the burial. I'll do my best to locate the stone.
You may want to recheck Camp Nelson Family for any other names. It's gone from 16 interments to about 70.
Regards and Happy Holidays,

We are going to see if we can't find this cemetary. I've talked with Camp Nelson National Cemetary and they have put me on the track of a couple of possibilities in that area. We'll let you know this weekend.
