I am the official Bossier Parish Historian. No pay, all work, just fun!. From time to time I research particular Bossier Parish families and this leads me out of Louisiana, so when I get information about burials, I post it online. Can't guarantee it's accurate, simply because the informant on the death certificate might have been wrong.|

My ggrand-uncle was Alford Franklord Lockley of Bossier Parish,La. Alford was my ggrandfather,Vernon H.Lockley's brother. Alford ran a Livery Stable in Bellevue,La. in 1850,and also served as a Bossier Parish Deputy Sheriff until he died in 1855. I noticed that you wrote something about this a few years ago and would like to communicate with you,if possible. Regards,Charles Lockley.
Would please re-consider your flower that you left for
Find A Grave Memorial# 44986244.
I think that you have the wrong person. This JS was only--13/14/15-I have seen as all three.
The article about his death has his age as 15.
the obit has 14
and the archdiocese records have 13.
but really don't think is the one that you want.
I think that you want 46945432

I found that you submitted the information on Edgar Paul Russell. Do you know anything about him? I have been searching for someone named E P Russell. Thanks for anything you can provide me.
Hello Clifton. I just tried to send you the following message in an email at your juno.com address, but it bounced back "invalid address". Do you have a new email address?
I just stumbled across mention of your books Bossier Parish Headstones and Bossier Parish 1850 Census. I tried to locate copies to purchase, with no luck. Do you have any idea where I could find copies?
My 2X great-grandmother, Cassandra B. (Ford) Wilson was born in Shreveport in 1847. By the 1850 Census her mother Martha J. Ford (maiden name unknown) was a widow with five children (the first possibly not hers), the last born in 1849. I have seen mention that Cassie's father was named William, but have no proof. Cassie and her sister Mary N. (Ford) Tobey were in Pope County, Arkansas by 1870 and both were buried in Pope Co. I cannot find anyone in the family in 1860. Martha J. Ford married Frederick Spelling in Bossier Parish in 1852. After that I lose track of her.
I am hoping that I can find William(?) Ford's headstone, or mention of his death. Cassie was my grandmother's favorite grandmother, and I would really like to trace her family.
When I looked for contact information for you I found your Find A Grave profile. I am also a contributor, and greatly appreciate your contributions.
