I am a 72 year old great grandmother who works on genealogy every day. I was born in Jefferson Co., New York but now live in Davenport, Florida. My family is very important to me. My hobbies include reading, genealogy, crocheting, & baking. I have traveled in the past within the USA even living in Alaska for a couple years when I was a child. I have found 4 of my relatives tombstones on this site one in Alaska I never would have been able to visit. I am very proud to become a part of it.|
I found this site looking for relatives and where they were buried and started adding some that were not listed . I also found that some of the cemeteries themselves weren't listed. Most of my memorials are for relatives but not all so if you find one you want transferred ask and if they are not closely related to me I will be happy to transfer them to you. I think they belong with family. If you have any additions (or corrections)also let me know.My email has an underscore between the T & M that doesn't show up good.
I have found this site very helpful to resize pictures that you want to add here.
This link is from Sharon Hanson Frey's member page. It is one of the best tools for genealogy I have seen in a long time. It gives you a birth date when you find only the death date and person's age on their tombstone.

|Pat Engman||John Fields|
Is John Fields your great grandfather? I an curious since John Fields was the brother of my husbands great grandfather Frederick Fields.
Also Larry knew Frederick married his great grandfather in Glen Falls and eventually moved to South Dakota and then Montebello CA where my husband was raised,
Hope awe do have a connection.

I have been researching the Abbey family of Jefferson Co NY.
According to the Abbe-Abbey Genealogy Page 152. Samuel Abbey m Elizabeth (Betsey Thompson, b Concord N.H. about 1811, died in Clayton 1860. She was the daughter of ___ and Olive (Kendrick) Thompson.
Samuel was the son of Shadrach and Welthan ____ Abbey b @ 1807 in Otsego Co, NY. Died at Clayton, N Oct 1867. buried at Sand Bay Cem .
His parents Shadrach Abbey b 6 Mar 1767 d 25 May 1894
Note: If you look at the picture of Samuel's grave you will see three stones. From the picture you posted for Elizabeth Thompson there is one very similar to it to the left of Samuel's. Samuel's 2nd wife Clarissa's stone is the one on the right. She is #70856412.
There is some confusion, even in the Abbe-Abbey genealogy about Shadrach and Welthan.

You are welcome. Glad I could help. All of the Brehm's in that cemetery were spelled with an M and need to be corrected.

I did find Palmer in that book now I know why everyone has his death wrong, they got it from the book. The State Vital Records have him dying a few years later that that. Palmer's daughter was there with her husband's name but that is where it ended for her. There are alot of holes and I am sure alot of mistakes in her research. Palmer's death record matches his parents and where he was born and he was living near or with one of his daughters who married a man in North Bridgewater, so it is accurate and her research is wrong. Where did you find this record maybe I can contact them about it.
