Very interested in genealogy, cemeteries and cemetery art and statuary, particularly angels.
I enjoy strolling through older cemeteries, reading headstones and photographing interesting ones. Most of my family is from Indiana, and I visit every year. I make a point of finding different cemeteries to visit. My favorite is Crown Hill, in Indianapolis. I was able to find out that I have 2 ancestors buried there. I've also visited several of the cemeteries in New Orleans, which are extremely facinating.
I am starting to visit more of the cemeteries in the Southern CA area, and will attempt to fulfill as many photo requests as I can. Alway happy to hear from fellow cemetery buffs. | |

 | RE: Sylvester H. Mobley Mem #62003488 I spent most of yesterday trying to find out more about Sylvester and family. Really not sure where I got the info about him being buried in AZ. Even though he isn't buried in the Sharpsville cemetery, I decided to keep him entered in hopes that family might find him and perhaps know more about his life. All that was available to me, is now entered on his site. Leah's twin sister has fallen off the records. Wish that I could find where both girls were buried. If you find more, let me know. Sincerely, Catie and Will | | | DHunt
 | RE: Deborah Toomey Hillside is a nice cemetery, just a little unkept. Those of us who are working on it think the some of the graves are in awful shape but that is probably true of all cemeteries. It's interesting that you mention Crown Hill. My husband is from Indianapolis and has ancestors buried there. It you find out more about the Breggers let me know and my friend and I will add. | RE: Deborah Toomey Hi, I think we have linked everyone we can. I called my friend who did Ada and a son and she linked Ada to husband. Do you know where in IL Ada was born and who her parents were? Where they were buried? DonnaAdded by DHunt on May 07, 2010 3:20 PM | | | DHunt
 | RE: Deborah Toomey Thanks for the information. There are only about 3 of us working on Hillside right now and we are getting close to having it done. My friend has done the 2 masoleums. Donna HunterAdded by DHunt on May 05, 2010 6:39 PM | | | Megan

 | Karen Flynn Did you get my message that she is with her dad, Wendell Packard. Don't know what site she looked at, but the lady I talked to at Mountain View found her name right away.Added by C J on Dec 31, 2008 7:10 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
