Added a memorial for John who must be related to Bessie. I thought he was the husband of Bessie but according to Bessie's memorial that might not be the case. Either way since you manage Bessie's I would be happy to transfer John to you if you want. Just submit a request.

I just posted a photo of Thompson Layton on his Find a Grave site & thought that you might be interested in seeing it.
Hi Leslie, I may be able to answer some questions for you regarding my family. My father was George Donald Layton, My grandfather was George Luther Layton, and my great grandfather was Luther Layton. Most of my family is from the Indiana area.
I am trying to find my Grandfathers line. The ones I am looking for are Theodore S. Layton, His wife Evaline (Merritt) Layton, later Hanh (or Hann), and Earl V. Layton SR. Theodore and Eva are his parents. We cannot fond Earl and Eva anywhere. His son, Earl Jr. is my Grandfather.

Hi Leslie thanks for the great information and its really great to find another family member. Do you think William Layton or Lawton is buried in this cemetery. I've been trying to connect some of the Layton's in this area of PA and NY. I've found a Jeremiah Layton in Salamanca NY that you left a note for memorial#7531646 are you related to this Layton. My linage goes from Asher Layton to William Layton and Mary Holmes to Samuel Layton and Janet Oliphant to William Layton or Lawton. Ill let you go for know, your long lost cousin Michael Layton. PS. I'm not yet a member of your genealogy organization you mentioned. Thanks Mike

Leslie, my name is Michael Layton from Portville, NY. My family came from Bedford and Fulton Co.PA. The earliest Layton to move into that area was Asher Layton born 1823 Monmouth Co, NJ. Asher Layton's GGGrandfather was William Lawton, arrived RI 1634 with father and signed Monmouth, NJ patent 1638. William Lawton used the last name spelled Layton and in his will spelled Lawton, all or most relatives used Layton. My question is are you and we all related threw this first William Layton. Sincerely Michael Layton
In the Opfermann plot.
