RE: Inez Powers
Let me think about it - I will check the map on Google and let you know - it was the cemetery on the left side of the road so I will have to investigate more for you and get back to you by tomorrow

I took a picture of the plot as the graves are unmarked....according to the Cemetery office the plot was purchased in 1854 and was one of the first in the Cemetery. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ash Family planted that large pine tree at the head of the plot instead of placing a stone.

Betsey Smith thank you
Dear Mike, Thank you very very much for the time and effort you took to photograph the gravesite monument of my ancestor, Betsey (Sturgis)Smith. The two pictures you sent are much clearer and easier to read with respect to the engravings at the bottom. Also thank you for informing me of the fact that the stone had been toppled. I will have to explore how one rights such a monument. Perhaps if I contact the City of Auburn I can find a monument worker who would be willing to do the work. This is the first time I have put in a request to Find A Grave, and I was heartened by how quickly you responded. I am going to think seriously about volunteering to do the same in my neck of the woods!
Best regards,
Betsey Smith's great great great granddaughter.

Thank You
Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for the photos for the Russell's. I really appreciate this. You are very kind. I didn't know that the others were laid to rest there but I have made a memorial for them. Could you please add the headstone photos to their pages, (Virgie, Forest, Alice, Luena). I will do photo requests so you get credit for the photos. I wasn't able to read the stone very well for the dates, I hope I have them correct. Thanks for everything and have a great weekend.

Rocheleau Family
Mike, thank you so much for the gravestone photos of the William J Rocheleau family. I have corrected any errors I committed during my data entry. The photos do help to correct all misinformation.

RE: William & Patience Glenn
Mike,
I'm sorry I did not notice and my picture was cut off, but I found out through Larry Tippin's website, putnamindianacemeteries.com, that Patience was 40 years, 2 months, and 10 days old when she died, so he calculated the birth as January 6, 1810. They are in Block 99 Graves 410&411. William's says 12/2/1801 birth calculated and death 3/25/1874,so he says he died when he was 72 years, 3 months, and 23? days. They also had a daughter who died at 5 years, 5 months, and 0 days, so this is 11/12/1836 to 4/12/1842. Their daughter was also named Patience. This cemetery is listed in Putnam County, Jackson Township, Roachdale Cemetery. Hope this all helps.
