Louis Otto Hinz
Find A Grave Memorial# 31115783 - Louis Otto Hinz
was my grandfather's brother. He was born in 1878 in Texas (not Germany). The family had emigrated from Germany in 1877. This is supported by US census records (in particular, 1880, St Clara, Guadalupe, TX, enum dist 74, sheet 273B).

Thank you.

Windels, Fastenau and Segelke
I have tried to change this record. Hermann Dietrich Segelke 1978 was married to Wilhemina Sophia Ann Fastenau born 1 May 1882 and died 2 Nov 1957, (She went by Minnie).Hermann's brother Hermann Friedrich Segelke 1979 went by Fritz (my great grandfather) was married to Dorothea Sophie Wilhemina Windels she also went by Minnie (1888-1964)My Minnie remarried but Minnie Fastenau never did. I can give you much more information as you wish. But please change it, people are getting confused and this is a great source for them.
Thank you Melissa

memorials # 29952266 and #30881372
Reference is made to Find A Grave memorial # 30881372 for Herman D Segelke (1878-1927) and 29952266 for his wife, Minnie Sophie Windels. Links are given to several family members including siblings of Minnie Windels. Since your surname is Fastenau, My question is: How is the surname Fastenau linked to the surname Segelke?

My surname is Segelke. I was born in Colorado and have lived in California for over 50 years.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
