borned and raised cumberland co. ky = looking to make my family genealogy easier to locate.for future generation.will remove any names up on family request or transfer owership of memorial.My family reseach names are BOW,MOLES,YORK,SCOTT.ARMS.McCLUSKEY,RIDDLE and a few more.WIFE side ROBERTSON,EDGEWORTH,ROBINSON,McCOOL,Bobo.Wallace,SCOTT and few more. The people buried in these cemeteries are us. They toiled, laughed, cried and struggled in adversities we will never know and adversities we can well relate to and from that, we can draw strength. Regardless of why we post their burial sites, they were also loved and respected by someone and deserve to be remembered. This site is purposely set up so that we can SHARE our info, not for self glorification based on our contribution.|
I would hope part of the ulitmate goal is to show respect for the human race, living or dead. Be assured that if I post one of your ancestors or your mother or father or child, however they are related, I have absolutely NO reason to keep it under my control if you want to maintain it and will gladly transfer it immediately. I DO NOT OWN the information I have chosen to share on this website. After all, if it's someone from whom you are genetically descended, you are bound to feel a responsibility for them. They are YOUR Family and YOUR loved ones. And I'm very glad that I helped you find them.
PS. I try to follow FAG Guidelines as possible can. *******************************************PLEASE SEND ANY CORRECTIONS/SUGGESTIONS THRU THE "EDIT" BUTTON.
I will review the info before any changes are made.

The info I have was provided by Allen C's Grt Grt Grandaughter I believe.There was Allen C and an Allen Caldwell Scott, listed as son of Elder Allen C, and born 1861-1936, which would to me appear more possible as Father of listed children?????

|Jennefer Burk||RE: HARDY|
Drove down there. It's a very recent marker. I couldn't tell by the photos that it's made of iron or a metal like it. Looks like solder used for the lettering. As soon as I get freed up from living commitments, I'll dig further into it. For one thing, Daniel was living in TN in 1850, served from there in the Civil War and didn't settle in KY until after that. Didn't own the land then either. Per court and census reords. I found NOTHING on An Ann and Elijah on reseach databases either. I hope somone hasn't put a marker up without proof of its accuracy. :(
|Jennefer Burk||RE: HARDY|
I've spent the whole evening going over everything I can find online and in my personal research and haven't found an Elijah Hardy. Daniel had a child named Abijah "Bige". but I've not found that until Daniel and Sophia named their son that. I am going to get down there this week to take a look at the stone. Another Hardy mystery!
|Jennefer Burk||RE: HARDY|
I have searched the old cemetery for many years and this stone is a new one on me! There are many Hardy researchers but I don't know of any who have this information. Whoever set the stone, if it was recently, needs to come forward and share their sources. Was this the first time you'd seen it?
|Vickie Rush||Millard Fred Bow|
Richard, Thanks so much for the picture of Millard Fred Bow's marker in Hardy Cemetery. I have added it to my data base. Hope all is well with you and yours. I wish you success with all your searches. Vickie in Alabama
