I was born in Tampa, FL. I am retired and love to travel. I have been working on genealogy since 2003 when I retired. I am researching my maiden name Williams as well as: Cassidy, Garrett, Gatlin, Goolsby, Grizzle and Herring. My husband's line is: Livingston, Hargis, Snodgrass.|

Your dates do not match James Andrew Williams, nor does his wife unless this is the 2nd wife.
Death of J. A. Williams James A. Williams, who for the past five years had been making his home in Rock Hill, died at his home in that city on Saturday last following an illness of about a year, and his remains were brought to Westville Sunday afternoon for burial in the cemetery at Bethany church of which he was a member for a number of years.
Mr. Williams, who passed his sixty-fourth year June 12, was born and reared in Kershaw county near the town of Kershaw and resided in this vicinity until a few years ago. He was reared by Mrs. Ann Thorn, of the Hanging Rock community, now in her ninetieth year, who visited him recently at Rock Hill, and was able to attend his funeral also. She took charge of him when he was an orphan of tender years.
The funeral services were conducted in Bethany Baptist church, the following ministers taking part in the services: Rev. W. J. Sprinkle, pastor of the Northside Baptist church, Rock Hill who accompanied the remains; Rev. A. E. Fulner, a former pastor of Mr. Williams; Rev. P. E. Blackmon pastor of Bethany church, and Rev. J. M. Neal, of Kershaw. The remains were laid to rest with the ceremonies of the Woodmen of the World, of which order Mr. Williams was a member, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends, a number of whom accompanied the family from Rock Hill.
Mr. Williams is survived by his widow, four sons, four daughters and an adopted daughter--Kershaw Era.

He was born 12 Jun 1863.
If you are right, I have gotten over one of my brick walls as his death certificate has DK as mother's name.

I noticed that you had placed some flowers on Uncle Frank's Find A Grave site. He is the oldest brother of my father. How do you fit into the family? I have a hugh brick wall with his grandfather.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Diane, my grandmother was Nettie (WILLIAMS) CAMPBELL, sister of Minnie Lee (WILLIAMS) CAMPBELL (the two sisters married CAMPBELL brothers). Nettie, Minnie, and their siblings were first cousins of your grandmother, Effie Fraser (RIGSBY) WILLIAMS. Nettie's father (Wm. Nathaniel WILLIAMS) and Effie's mother (Nancy Augusta WILLIAMS RIGSBY) were brother & sister. I've been an avid researcher of genealogy and family history for about 45 years--I would love to correspond with you about our mutual families!

|Diane Sundberg||William Hermsprong Williams|
I found your name attached to a link on William Hermsprong Williams. His son Charley is my great-great grandfather. Charlie's son Elzie Bell Williams is my great father. His daughter Dottie Williams Willis is my grandmother and her daughter, Delores Willis Fehrmann is my mother.
I have been helping my Uncle Richard with tracing our ancestry and I have learned so many fascinating things. Just want to touch base, we must be cousins quite a few times removed!
