I am the youngest grandchild of Isaac H. and Della Doolittle. My mother was Naomi Ruth Doolittle Knepper. I would like to know how you are related within the Doolittle family. I have access to more information and pictures for the children of Della and John as well, and would like help identifying the persons shown in these pictures. I also have another cousin who has even more information concerning the Doolittles in Doolittle Mills IN.

|Faith Markley||We are related.|
Hello. My name is Faith Markley. My maiden name is Davis. I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. My father's name is Robert Dale Davis. He is a son of Herschell Leroy Davis. Grandpa Herschell's father was Lewis William Davis and Grandpa Lewis' father was John Davis. I have compiled an extensive family history and may be able to help you with your geneaology research on the Davis family. John's son Lewis had the family bible and it was presented to my Grandpa Herschell from him. The bible was the given to my uncle Herschell, which is the older brother of my father. My cousin Greg has the bible, but my father has copies of the family tree that is in the front of the bible. My grandfather, Herschell (Lewis' son), was born in Kirksville Missouri and grew up in Talahasse, Florida where Grandpa Lewis was working. My father has told me some stories about Grandpa Lewis working on stilts as a plasterer. I would like to get in touch with you so that we might be able to compare notes as you may have some information that I am lacking and I may have some family history that I can share with you.

|kate renner||Hayden/Hedden connection|
I found some interesting Doolittle/Hayden/Hedden connections on Findagrave today and I was hoping that you could help me figure out why my grandmother's middle name was Hayden. She was born Fannie Hayden Doolittle, on 9 Oct 1869, probably in Rush County IN to Joel and Lucinda (Rice) Doolittle. She died in 1953. I have never been able to figure out where her middle name Hayden came from. I saw that there was a Dr. Isaac Hayden Doolittle, born in 1862 in West Fork, Crawford, IN and died in 1947, and buried in the McCray cemetery in Hancock IN. Was he the son of Captain John Calvin Doolittle and his wife Mary Elizabeth (Hedden) Doolittle? I see that Mary's father was Daniel Hedden, born in 1807 in Shelby County KY. Fannie's gramdmother was Lucy (Lemaster) Rice, also born in 1807 in Shelby KY. John Doolittle's father Samuel was a first cousin to Fannie's grandfather Joel Doolittle. These connections are intriguing and I am wondering if there was a Hayden family connection, or if Isaac's middle name was Hedden, or if his mother's real maiden name was Hedden? Do you know how Isaac got his middle name?
John Davis had a son, Lewis William Davis. Lewis is my great grandfather. I show that John died in 1927 but don't have any definite info on Susan.
