|Patty Greene||RE: Thornton Bud Mt Cemetery Wyoming, WV|
Hi Annemarie, I am not familiar with those specific Thornton's. My husband is related distantly, but I haven't been researching too much lately for the same reason as you: grandchildren. Plus, I'm still working; only 5 more years and I can retire. And since those are distant relatives, I have been focusing more on his immediate line. Have you checked on the West Virginia Vital Statistics website. It's an awesome resource for research.

Thank you for Marion's info, I have added it.

Hello Anne Marie,
Thanks so much for your message re: Jane Dickey Jameson. Yes, I would love to hear about your son in law's forebear "Martha Mattie Jameson" and that family line. It is so interesting to see how our families dispersed across the country over the years, but remain connected by our earlist ancestors to arrive in America. I love learning about my family lines, and look forward to hearing about "Martha".
You're most welcome for the photos. If your cousin would like specific directions to the marker, I'm happy to share them.
There were several names on the Fletcher gravestone:
Roland W. A. Fletcher 1892-1944
His Wife Helen H. Chase 1892-1993
Robert G. Fletcher 1926-1963
William K. Goldthwaite 1915-1989
His Wife Elizabeth G. (Fletcher) 1921-
Gertrude L. Fletcher 1881-1966
If you'd like to add memorials for any of the others, I'm happy to add photos.

I am glad that we have helped you this much so far, and yes I am cleaning the Headmarkers that need it as well as uploading and adding the names of every person in both cemeteries that we are cleaning. I hope they mean as much to the families that visit this site as it has meant for me and my fellow scouts.

Wow what a story. And how sad that someone had the gall to actually try and sell a grave marker. tsk tsk. I'm glad that I was able to put these memorials on Find A Grave and I get great satisfaction from people like yourself who appreciate the work and are able to close gaps in their family trees! If you would like any of your relatives transferred to you, please let me know, and I'd be happy to do so, as they are not of my family. Regards, Nadeen
I just claimed the photo request you submitted for Marie Brown.
I wanted to give you a heads up that it may take a while as we had close to a foot of snow yesterday and when I passed the cemetery this morning on my way to work the stone's were well covered in the icky white stuff.
As soon as we have some melting I'll pop down and get the picture(s) for you.

|Susan||RE: Thank You|
Thanks so much for your lovely email. It made my day. The whole point for me is to try to connect people far away with their family nearby. Thanks again

When I got to the cemetery computer for visitors to search, there was no Thomas (dying in 1952) but one in 1957; that's why I photographed that grave, thinking it might have been a typo (they don't list birth dates on their interment records, only date of interment). Your Thomas MIGHT be there in plot 7 also (the cemetery records could have an error) but, even though the ivy is covering the bottom of the stone, I pulled it back and there were no names inscribed so I couldn't tell.

|GLENN||HOLZER GRAVE IN ST. CHARLES|
I got the picture you requested for Mary Holzer in St. Charles Cemetery. The grave number on the memorial is a typo. The grave number should be 138.
Have a good one...
