I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California near Columbia State Historic Park. This is the land of the original 49'er, of gold pans and mining claims. Every grave marker conceals a life story. My goal as a Find A Grave volunteer is to help the descendants of these brave souls re-discover part of their past.|
If I have created a memorial for an ancestor or close relative of yours and you would like to assume ownership of the memorial, please let me know. You can either use the Suggest a Correction feature on the memorial page or simply leave me a message. I'm also happy to continue maintaining a memorial by making changes sent to me by family members.
The photographs I post to Find A Grave are reduced to 10% of their original size in order to meet website restrictions. Full-size digital photographs will be emailed on request.
Good Luck and Best Wishes to All,
May the Warm Winds of Heaven
Blow softly upon your house.
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there.
May your Mocassins
Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.

|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||New Edit/update request system|
I forwarded a letter I received this morning out to all my Findagrave friends. I was under the impression we would receive edits with the new system in our email, but I guess not! On our profile page is a new tab Edits, and there are not only all our requests, but requests made to us!! I had over 40!!!! Since there are some I have sent to you that are not done, I am thinking you, as well as many, many others, had no idea this was there? Thought I would pass it on.
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Columbia Cemetery updates|
I was wondering if there was a problem updating the Columbia cemetery memorials? We have done a great deal of work with the three cemeteries to get them fixed and updated, and truly would appreciate updates requests being fulfilled. Please let me know if there is a problem to do the updates. Thank you!
|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Thank you . . .|
for such well done pictures at Columbia Odd Fellows. Any time I see your name, I know I don't have to try to replace the photo with a better one or easier to read photo!
|Karen Davis||Possible typo of death date|
I can't thank you enough for all the work you've done to add burial records to findagrave. You're to be commended for it.
You may have accidently typed in the wrong death date for Ernest Beck. He actually 100 years old when he died in 1994.
SSDI, ERNEST E BECK Born 22 Sep 1893, Died 23 May 1994 95070 (Saratoga, Santa Clara, CA) (none specified) 564-52-7773 California.
|Tree Leaves||Looking for grave marker(s) pictures|
After nearly 60 years of searching and wondering, I just recently discovered family lineage of my father who was was adopted in 1917. Found that his Aunt Mary Annice Pierce is buried in Columbia City Cemetery and that her older sister Nettie May Laudick amy also be buried there. Who would I contact to verify if one or both is buried in the City Cemetery and what is the possibly of obtaining pictures of their grave markers? Mary Annis Pierce (b.01 Dec 1872 / d. 29 Jun 1969) and Nettie May Laudick (b. 26 Dec 1861/d.18 Jan 1953). Is there a means of offering financial donations or contributions for volunteers providing this kind of service? My ears are really green on this new ancestry searching stuff, so any comments or help toward my goal is appreciated. Thanks for what you do!
Butch (Tree Leaves).
