RE: James Allen Clevenger (1892-1939)
I think I have this chronology correct. James Allen Clevenger was a son of A.C. Clevenger and Rufine Fine. A.C.'s first wife, Tennessee Denton, died in the mid-to-late-1880s. A.C. and Rufine married sometime after that. James was born in 1892. Rufine would have been about 31 years old when James was born. Let me know if you still see a discrepancy.

RE: Blair Family - Blossburg, Pennsylvania
Suzanne, I started with Blairs doing the ancestry of my husband's uncle's wife, my 'Aunt' Marian. Her great grandmother was a Blair and the name was used as a middle name up to the present. Her Blairs immigrated from Scotland to Vermont in the 1830s, then to San Francisco, California in the 1860s. They visited back and forth with a Blair family that was important to the settlement of Placerville from Scotland in the 1840s. I tracked both families to Scotland, both descending from one man and his two wives who were sisters, I think. There were close to a dozen children of this man and while a few remained in Scotland, many more immigrated to various US states are different intervals. Some of these branches maintained contact with each other. Matthew, James and John are common names in these families. My husband and a brother in law both have Blair families from the 1730s so I wonder how they are related if they are. Sorry for the long explanation...but you asked. O;) EdrieAnne Broughton
