I became interested in "family history" a few years ago. Through research I found "Find A Grave." Through this site I even found a cousin that I knew nothing about. She has been so kind in sharing her records with me. This site also lets me visit family member's graves that I wouldn't be able to visit as often due to being so far away. Family names of interest to me are: Brooks, Newberry, Gooch, Brown, Danner, Dodson. Also my husband's family, Moore, Bland, Williams, Oats,Beard. I love sharing information with others.|

It was my pleasure to take the photos. If I'd known he was a veteran, i would have brought a flag to put on his grave.

Yes mam. As far as I know, I got them all. On the way out, i stepped in a hole and fell. My husband came to help me up, and I saw 2 that I had missed.

Debra, the other researcher is Richard MCClure, he sent me a message to advise that he is working on 2 or more cemeteries here in the Louisville area where they had been moved or something had happened to them. The University of Louisville is in charge of doing the work on them, and Richard has been in contact with the Person at University of Louisville in dealing with obtaining the correct information concerning Schardin and Greenwood Cemeteries. He advised me of this yesterday, that is why I pulled my name off the requests I had planned on going to get. I should have placed his name on there, but I did not. Once he has the information he will attache what has been located for each of the graves, in these 2 particular cemeteries.
Many years ago when the expressways were being built several cemeteries had been moved for progress sake and I have to assume in the 50's and 60's they may not have taken extra care to document.
Thanks for your email and I am sorry our city did such a thing to a cemetery.

Were you related to the Brooks that lived on Bryan Street in Old Hickory because that Brooks lived behind my Mother and Fatherinlaw .
I am so happy for you! Your perserverance is indeed a plus! I do believe that RTB did have a distant cousin on here. I bet you found her! That's great! You are such a kind and thoughtful person! Blessings on all you do always~Janice

RTB Is a special friend, but I have not heard from him in a while. So sad that he stopped coming here. I e-mail him, but I am uncertain if he ever recieves them. Last I heard was a forward on the topic of the loss of a pet, but I am not sure now if it was his. I miss him a lot. He is the true meaning of "friend". Don't give up. I don't! He just may be a little busy. One never knows. If I do hear from him, I shall pass it on. Love Prayers And Peace Always~Janice
I Am Sure That We Are Not Related Since I Am Not A Brooks. As For RTB, I Can't Answer For Him. I Hope That I Have Helped You In Some Way. Good Luck In Your Searching And Blessings Always~
