Bio and Links
Bio Photo I feel compelled to contribute to those who mourn their deceased loved ones. May they find comfort in knowing I am a friend...Most of my family members have passed away so I know how empty life can be without them. My mom left me with an old postcard which says:

"Time is...
Too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love...
Time is Eternity."

Lewis Girl
Brandon Legeness
A mutual friend gave me the following information about him: that he passed in his sleep while staying with his mother in Illinois. He was cremated and his remains are still with his mother. He brother is thinking about taking his remains to California to be interred next to his child.
Not sure if it's 100% certain. Just thought I would let you know what I found out.

Dear Jan,

There is a misunderstanding.
I did not add a picture of the cemetery to your memorial.
I contributed this picture to the page of the cemetery as a general picture.

They picked this one to add to all memorials unless you opt out of that.

I think the best way to find out where Brandon is buried is to call the cemetery.
I am afraid I cannot help you there.

I found more info on the accident that killed the Rawley girls and their mother. Please see my most recent update to their Find A Grave memorials.
Sad, really sad

RE: Rawley
Hi Jan, I do not know anything about them nor am I related to them. I posted the information from a series of headstone transcriptions published by the Breathitt County Historical Society. I did find on that the death occurred in Yolo California.

Hi Jan,
So, if your great grandfather Napal was 1st cousins with my great grandfather Reuben, Sr., that would make your grandmother 2nd cousins with my grandmother, your mother 3rd cousins with my mother, which would make us 4th cousins (with no "removes" - which is good because that's where my head starts to spin - even with the link to the explanation. :-)
I finally joined Facebook a few months ago (to keep up with my kids mostly. :-) So I'll send you a Friend request - but I'll warn you ahead of time that I'm a flaming Liberal - so you can choose to not to have my posts show up if you like :-)
I've got one (1st) cousin still living in Clark County on Facebook (She just lost her brother a couple months ago - my two younger sisters both died last year.) There are so few of us left - people just don't have passels of kids the way they used to.
I'll be happy to share the family info I've got.

RE: Re: Napoleon Devary
Hi Jan,
Mom listed your Napoleon Bonaparte (1862-1946) married to Cora Richardson but didn't extend his limb of the tree. Trebo & Lucinda had a LOT of children (I count 12) but it looks like your Napoleon (Napal) was 1st cousins with my great grandfather Reuben Batson Devary Sr. (son of Napoleon Bonaparte Devary (1837-1887)) - who was a brother of Marcus, your Napoleon's father. So, that makes us cousins - but I've never been good at figuring how many times removed. :-)
Take care,

James Seidelman
RE: Hello James
Hello Jan, there are about 150 James E. Craigs in Findagrave, and I don't see that I have an entry for him. The best way to request a transfer is to go to the memorial - click on EDIT and put the message there. That way it gives your membership number and also the number of the memorial you're requesting transfer.
Let me know.

RE: Cleta Mae Gabbard
I can not say for sure what her correct name was at the time of her death. I know only what is in the published Kentucky Post obit. I am not related but know Al Sallee from the past. Thanks!
